Rolf
Thanks my friend yeah i felt a bit naked too, whit out the pack and dirt and all. I love the dirty sandtrooper combat army style, so it was a bit off for me too. But having Vader, Boba, R2D2 just 5 minutes away from my apartment. And the event was great, and fun, lots of old and new faces to talk to. Plus not having my son that day, i join in as mr. white (i might post a few more event pics soon) I hope to make it dirty this week. New pics up real soon
Rolf
Hi bro´s. I have worked a little on the helmet. I have redone the placement of the face plate, last time i pull out the chin as long as i could. But it made the side tubes a bit long, and helmet front a bit wide looking. Here a few pics of how it looks now
Rolf
Heres few body armor shots Leg hooks: Arms/bicep hooks, cut out wrist:
Rolf
Le legs: (ammo belt dot on) Love how they was made back then, just open 3 snaps, and you got it on. Upper chest corner, kidney, crotch, and you are rock and roll. The bells are add on quick on whit snaps too: I love the veclcro are gone, and all the elastics are either snaps or glued one. I will get this monster dirty real soon, but i guess i´m in no hurry for taken it out side for nice shots all suit up. Check out this pics, taken out side my window: New pics up real soon
iconoclasta_88
Nice!! Just a minute ago I was wondering why you hadn't posted any new picts or updates!! LOL... Very interesting the connector system on the calves. Wouldn't the hooks damage the flexible 1mm plastic on your armor? Would it need some reinforcement? What do you think about doing that on a TE2?? Also, I really like how you trimmed your forearms. The wrist cut off is very cool. I did mine just that way, after TM suggested it. How is the other edge of your forearms trimmed? Again, after TM suggested it, I trimmed all the return edge of the inner part and left just a bit on the outer side... ...Love how they was made back then, just open 3 snaps, and you got it on. Upper chest corner, kidney, crotch, and you are rock and roll.... Yes, that works really nice and easy!! Just when I thought my armor was done, I have sooooo much to do. LOL... Anyway, GREAT armor as always bro. I cant wait to see it all done. Saludos

Saludos Haha to souls, one thought I have just been busy like a mad man, as i got my 18 month old son all alone 11 days out of a 2 week period going on. And i want this suit to be perfect. The TM 1mm flex plastic seems so strong, i strongly doubt it will damage the plastic. It flex so much, i even made tie some of the plastic up a few times, and it did not crack, just bend. I guess you could do it to your TE2 suit as well, all up to your build. You are a slim dude, so i guess you could. If you are a heavy person, too much pressure might come under trooping, and it might crack. I have trim the wrist off, and the arm hole, but not the front where we see the 11 and 12 hole details: Yeah the accurate 3 snap body armor open, luck again system works like a dream. Quickly done, just like a superman suit I hope to get him dirty this week. What mainly have slow me down, is my snaps are too short to go through my canvas belt to be add on. But i hope i have found some there will work. I could use the snaps, you know the same ones we use for our helmet chin snaps. But they would not be accurate, and i then would have to take out the once sitting in the belly all ready. New pics up real soon
FIVE
Very interesting the connector system on the calves. Wouldn't the hooks damage the flexible 1mm plastic on your armor? Would it need some reinforcement? What do you think about doing that on a TE2?? That's the accurate way to connect them. It's not the way I may do mine (when I get it) but it's accurate for sure. I don't think it would work on a TE2... unless you reinforced it. Man... that's the most accurate "street outside your window" I've ever seen bro! You do it all up 100%! No skimping on anything! Where do you buy your people and snow?

Rolf
Looks like you need some snowtrooper armor, Rolf. Haha its long down my list. My top 8 favorite list of suits are: 1. Sandtrooper. 2. ANH Stormtrooper. 3. Vader. 4. Tie pilot. 5. AT-AT driver. 6. Scout. 7. Snowtrooper. 8. Tusken radier/Sand people. But sadly i have only own Sandtrooper/Stormtrooper suits so far
sandtrooper
I hear you. The only other armors I'd like to have are AT-AT driver, TIE pilot or clone trooper.

The Tie and AT-AT are really nice i think so too I´m only a fan of the old saga, and the real version. So i´m mainly a suit fan from there, even the clones looks real nice (lots of details, just like the Sandy´s )

Where do you buy your people and snow? That's because Rolf uses the 'only' moulds 'ever' to be taken from a real street. No-one else can claim that. All the streets near me a recasts, with soft curb edgings and badly painted road markings
iconoclasta_88
So, Rolf, a small question here after watching your pictures again... Don't you have any strap or elastic joining your biceps to the shoulder bells? Are they just attached with the plastic loops there? And most important, is that the correct way to do it? Saludos

Saludos You got good eyes bro. Your right, there are nothing there holds the bicep to the shoulder bells (only the small hook, at the bicep). As far as i know, they was just taped together in ANH... sometimes, others just drop down i guess. (i have seen pics, where you can see the tape glue is still inside the bells. If i can find the pics, i post it here) Hugs
