Zon
We did troop last night for Bloomingdale's. They released some star wars clothing and they requested a couple characters. It ended up just being myself and a Vader. They didn't really seem to promote it because most of the customers were drawn to the area because of the DJ and then thrown for a loop when they saw a Sandtrooper and a Vader walking around the mens section. It was a two hour walk around/meet and greet and we made the most of it. It was fun watching the peoples reactions seeing the unexpected. I spent a good amount of time standing perfectly still next to a couple of mannequins and when someone walked by I would slowly move my head to follow them. I freaked a couple people out pretty good. There was one little kid who showed up in full Jedi garb who made the night for the two of us. He was probably 7 or 8 and he kept force pushing me and keeping Vader at bay with his lightsabers. The whole night something felt "off" with my costume. I have a new neckseal and I thought thats what felt weird. Turns out I had swapped my pauldron and ammo pack and put them on the wrong shoulders. . Guess that's what happens when you rush to get dressed. Still it was a pretty good time. Plastic Fury
Had this same troop myself last night with my squad here in Boca Raton. We had a pretty good group with myself in my TD, Vader, Leia(ANH), TK, Clone, Tie and a Tusken. Had a DJ as well and about the same reaction with the crowd. We wandered in and out but a couple of the guys went out to the food court and got escorted back to the store by security lol.
Zon
That's funny. I kept thinking about going out into the mall just to see the reactions. I got odd enough looks walking into Bloomingdale's with a suitcase and what was obviously a BFG wrapped up in a blanket.
Vadersblade
We did one in downtown Chicago. It was pretty quiet. Even free drinks couldn't loosen people up enough to spend $90 on a polo. $$$!

Scarbucket
How about $800 for a raincoat! King Jawa and I trooped the one here on Long Island the same night. They had us in back of the store with a DJ.Low turnout. We got a little of a crowd pop when we walked out to the mall. I was pretty impressed with the TK carrying the football on a Adidas jacket. I liked that one.
