These are pretty cool, I had fun doing a conversion on one a couple of years ago. I never carried it trooping though (I think once) so it, along with my kenner blaster, is in my son's possesion. (he likes swiping my misc. gear )

I still have the one I got when I joined the military book club, oh so long ago. I think I've taken it apart, and may even know where it is, but....

I should find it and finish it up.

For a while there was a British prop maker who seemed like they were going to start releasing screen accurate binoculars. They were molded of of the Simrad marine binoculars.

The price went pretty high and still Reserve not met appeared on his auctions. I have to admit, they looked pretty sweet. I'm surprised no one has started molding resin--or better yet, Hyperfirm--versions of these sweet binoculars.
