kenthork
this sunday afternoon Mr Anthony Forrest made the trip to Paris for a book signing. it was these first time in france, so i could not miss this opportunity to meet him it was in a toys and replicas shop in Paris center. i took my orange pauldron and my helmet for the photo shoot.. and my spécial T.shirt hé hé it was really a good moment, he is very kind and he took fun with the fans. he take his time to reply all question, it was so cool. I used this time to ask some questions about the armor of td, hoping he can remember thirty years after +++ i ask in first time, what was the exactly color of the weathering? -->> he says that it was a mix of black (color there is more) and a bit of sand color. he don't speak about dark brown. +++ i also try to know what was use for doing the weathering? --->>>from what he remembers it was shoe polish. i was really surprise. +++ third question was how was weight the pack?... and the answer is 12 kilos!!! wow!!! --->>>He told me it was so heavy that his body had a tendency to lean backwards!! (the last question... because many people wait behind me and begin to do the bad face... ) +++ how was fixed the shoulder pouch? on the armor or on the backpack? he don't remember this point, he say to me that it was the costumers (dressers) who put the armor on his body and he don't look at these point. it was really cool to learn from him a lot of details of our favourite star wars suit. I will keep a very good memory and I had a very good day. he dedicated my helmet and a photo... too cool! hope to see him in another event with all my td suit! trooper1
Hey Very Cool, very cool. I got to spend some time with him last year, during and after a Con, and he is very interesting to talk to. Not only Sandtrooper stuff, but family stuff as well... I had him sign one of those great Pauldrons you are wearing. and 2 of the Medicom Sandtrooper figures. We spoke quite a while about the Paudrons and how they were made. Well enough about that, I think it is great you got to see him and speak to him. Congratulations, Bro.... Rolf
Lovely pics. How tall is the boss, back in ANH he looks a bit taller then the other TD´s on the road block. But he looks small together whit you guys... I´m just asking, because he have a perfect hight for the ANH suit back then. So it could give a good picture of the suit/parts, if we know how tall etc he is. Cheers

Cheers Well Bountyone (Ben) I am guessing is around 6'3" - 6'4" hes standing next to Anthony with the E-11, I am 6'2" and change (on far right) I am guessing that Anthony is around 5' 10" ish?? What you cant see in this picture is the dozens of people shoving to the right of the picture. Trying to take a picture of Anthony with 4 sandys. Which is why we are standing staggered instead of a straight line. Hope that helps From left 6'2"- 6'3" ft , 5" 11- 6 ft, Anthony , 6'3"- 6'4" , 6' 2"+
Rolf
Copy that, then you guys are also some tall dudes. And even taller in armor etc. I´m better whit cm, i´m 182cm high, and i guess i´m around 6" tall. All the con/event pic i have seen of the man, he looks like the sweetest dude. Cool and down to earth. Hope to shake he´s hand one day. Cheers

Jango 5204
That's why these guys looked so good at the con. My suit is one the far left, It's since been sold, but my friend wearing it is at least 6-3. When Ben and Jeff were walking around together it looked great. You got your dime-a-dozen 5-8" FX TK walking around, then you got two "monsters", well over 6-00" tall in TD gear walking by, playing a syncronized TD loop from their packs. It was Bad!
