Yes you read the topic right.

I have been watching the ROTJ since it came out, and i have no idea of how many times through life...

But small things keep coming up for us.

This week i saw it again, and saw there was ANH troops in the death star scene:

Chapter: 46 (both in the real ROTJ movie, and in the SE version)

Here you see 4 ANH stormtroopers.

1 ANH hero in the front.

And in the back one more ANH hero to the left, and 1 ANH stunt right.

And one more ANH trooper, runs from right to left.

We also see they have the ANH boots on, whit the black sole.

In ROTJ they got white soles.

The hero helmet (in the back) only have one mic tip in (right front).

This is either a cut out ANH scene, and used later in ROTJ.

Or simple 4 ANH suits used again in ROTJ.

I don´t know, but they are there.

To me this is a new found thing, i have never read or see this on any forum or site.

Let me know...

All right here you go, chapter 46.

IIRC, what they did was use additional footage from the Death Star sequences on ANH and added them into ROTJ instead of recreating new ones... This has been around a while I think...

I do not think so.

I think as i post, its a ANH made scene... made back then.

And later used in ROTJ.

Other think so too.

From what I have read and seen in the movies, there was no new TIE pilot footage made during RotJ. When you see them running down the halls and flying in the ships, it is footage shot during the filming of ANH. I suspect they would mix in shots of stormtroopers running around the Death Star from ANH with new footage filmed during RotJ.

Many of the cuts are only a few frames long - less than one second!

Do you see any RotJ stormtrooper armor in the shots of the ANH armor?

If yes, then we could definitely say they used ANH suits while filming RotJ. If not, then I believe it is old footage from ANH.

Look at the two troopers who come up on Leia and Han after Leia is hit at the bunker, ANH / ESB style armor.

It could be bro.

All i know, is that they are 4 ANH stormtroopers in ROTJ.

I have never look into it before now, and never heard about it either before...

At the same time i was thinking, there must have been someone out there seen it before.

But again, i have never seen it on any forums or sites.

So i post it.

I think its mad cool.

In a way, it change it all for us.

Now its screen accurate to be wear a ANH stormtrooper, next to all the ROTJ suits.

If you wanna make a ROTJ fan movie.

Take a studio ROTJ pic, whit a e.g ROTJ Vader etc.

Yo :)

Thats what I said... they used ANH footage and added in ROTJ...

Copy that, i guess i just read you wrong.

It sounds like we all think, its a ANH made scene used in the ROTJ.

Too cool, now you can be screen accurate as a ANH TK in a ROTJ crew for photos/fan film etc :D

This thread reminds me of a previous where it was stated there was no ROTJ armor in ANH (Theoretically). As an ex-military guy and student of uniforms & equipt....I would just mention. Uniform/equipt changeovers are rarely clean. Old stuff combined with new stuff, especially in combat. One unit having new equipt and another nearby unit having the old...or mixed. Even in something as well equipt and funded as the current US Army can have some interesting combinations. The changeover from the old kevlar helmet to the new is a good example.

I understand the MEPDs baseline is the ANH Stormtrooper....and I quite agree with that. I do however, cringe abit, when flat statements are made about ROTJ vs ANH. If only Vader had written a uniform regulation for ANH!
