Removing rivets

The rivets can be removed easily.

First, get a drill of the same size as the rivet (1/8"?)

Slowly drill the head. Don't go through the stack, all you want to do is cut enough from the head to 'snap' it off (ie drill a little, move the drill in the rivet head, if it doesn't come off, drill a little more, then move to see it comes off...). All you are doing is removing the semi-sphere rivet head from the rest of the rivet, trying not to go go deep enough to touchthe ABS. Don't try to force it, it will eventually come with little effort. This leave the shank of the rivet in the hole, that cane then be pushed out using a smaller drill. It leaves the hole in the ABS at 1/8 (provided you didn't go down too deep) that you can re-use.

Easy... If you used a blind/pull through rivet to start with, it already has a hole in the head to use as a starting point...

Have done this many times, without damaging ABS and reused the same hole later.
