We are having a BBQ tomorrow (If it doesent rain!)then going for fireworks tomorrow night...then I'm watching Ä Capital 4th "on PBS with Jimmy Smits and Barry Manilow (No wise cracks please about BArry).. It's been pouring rain since 4 am here and but we did get our BBQ in...we just moved the flammables out of the shed. opened the windows and cooked the food in the shed and ate it in the house! Usually it's 90'with 100% humidity but it's raining and 64 here right now...the coolest and wettest 4th of July in Chicago area since 1947 Hopefuly our rain will stop and the fireworks will go off as usual and then watch the 4th on the TV. (I hope Barry Manilow sings "Let Freedom Ring"...it's an excellent song!) IT looks liek it's geting lighter out side so maybe the rain will be stopping soon.. Short TRooper Posted July 5, 2009 Author Share Posted July 5, 2009 Well they canceled the fireworks last night due to too wet ground and the barge that the fireworks were on got wet and now we have no idea when the fire works will go off...... Had plenty of food tho...and enough leftovers for the next day...Got to see Barry Manilow and the Jersey Boys on A Capitol 4th last night and it was excellent..and Barry did sing "Let Freedom Ring" YAY!!!!
