Rolf
Thanks bro . Yeah my son it set to the 7 of may. I hope to assemble/paint my second Dan Laws helmet, before there. And slowly make the pack, over a month or two... More to come soon. (i have a tupperwear 70´lid for the tube radar. But i only have in the 2 litre size, i´m pretty sure it was the 1,5 litre we see in ANH. So i gotta find one on ebay, or if any body out there have one, they wanna sell. Scootch
Bro are you saying it's the smaller in Diameter lids we should be using? I think maybe I have one!
Rolf
Bro are you saying it's the smaller in Diameter lids we should be using? I think maybe I have one! Copy that. I´m pretty sure the 2 litre lids, are too big. And its the 1,5 litre lids, we see in ANH. I used the 1,5 litre on my last too packs too, the 2 litre one looks too off big. If you got a 1,5, i would love to buy it from you bro (i got a 2 litre lid here, and its 43 cm round)

crashmann
I always enjoyed math, so for those of us interested in the diameter of the lid (and metrically handicapped ) The too big 2 liter pitcher lid: 43cm circumference / 3.14159 (pi) = 13.7cm diameter - or - 5.4 inches across The 1.5 liter pitcher lid: 35.5cm circumference / 3.14159 (pi) = 11.3cm diameter - or - 4.4 inches across Hmm, I need one of those smaller pitcher lids too... Rolf
Small update. Need to trim a few parts, and start painting the parts whit humbrol. More to come soon. Cheers
Rolf
Small update, getting the parts ready: Cut out, ready to be glued and painted: 1. Made the box. 2. Cut out a plastic circle for the radio box, so it looks like there are glas over the dial. 3. Add the mushroom cap, to the siphon. 4. Cut out the small box, ready to add the small walls on. 5. Add the small cup, the faucet. 6. Made some abs walls for the back, of the Mike H radio, to add it on the trays. 7. I have cut out the dot going up on the canister, because it should go down. I will glue a down hole on it, on the inside. (the mushroom, and small cup, are add on whit strips) I will make my own frame, the 70´boy scout frame, looks a little too big for the MH/SB kit. Plus the bow, going under the the pack. Goes a bit too far out, so the siphon get puch out. I will make the bow smaller, so it fit better. The frame will be done, whit a pvc pipe. I will make the elbow angle, by head it up, and bend it. I will add some pvc round ends to the pvc pipe, so you can see the bows add to it. Rolf
Hi gang. I´m making the so called Captain pack (the one move a long wears): But as we all ready know, some of the Sergeants also use the same pack. The only thing, there are not on the sergeant ones. Are the black tape, on the blue tray, and left upper box. Beside that, its the same pack. Question, should i add tape or not. What version, do you like the most. (i love, the look sir droid Sergeant look) Cheers
TD-1536
Brak's and I were chatting over AIM this morning and agree that the radios were most likely all painted over black. It would be a shame to essentially ruin the radio I sent you. I'm going to take this into consideration with all future radios, and probably provide the decals not applied. Art Andrews
Since we do see the pack without the tape and since the tape was clearly only added because the pack was falling apart, I say do it without the tape. The packs are hodge-podge enough in their construction. If the pack had tape in every photo then tape would be a must beut because you have a choice and because it obviously wasn't originally intended to have tape, I say leave it off. Rolf
Thanks for your reply Art. I´m a big fan of the move a long figure, but over the years i have been more focus whit the Looks sir droinds trooper (just like you ) I guess, i will make it whit out the tape then. Copy that on the radion Mike. I have in mind to paint it black too. And at the same time, its a big big shame, whit all the details you have add to it. But i guess, we go after the screen accurate right. So i might turn him black. Cheers

Art Andrews
Thanks for your reply Art. I´m a big fan of the move a long figure, but over the years i have been more focus whit the Looks sir droinds trooper (just like you ) Haha... just wait until you see some of the new stuff I am working on with trooper ID... It is very interesting, at least to me, to see who is who and who is wearing what armor in what scene. Interestingly, Mr Move Along changes armor during the roadblock scene!!! Dutch Dirty Trooper
So what must i do with the Radio ?! As looking to some ANH pictures it looks to me the front of the Radio is dark grey !? Like the version we do now have ! Grtz RAY
Art Andrews
In what photos does it look dark grey to you? To me, in virtually every photo it looks black to me.
iconoclasta_88
In what photos does it look dark grey to you? To me, in virtually every photo it looks black to me. This from another thread... I'm in no way saying its gray, just that in this picture it looks gray. Or more like two tones of black... Anyway, its just an idea, for sure Im no expert nor have done any deep or real research... Saludos... Hey Bro.. here is what I think. But its just an opinion and no fact. It looks like the real radio has two colors on it. A dark blueish grayish color for the faceplate, and a black leatherlike cover for the main body... From the picture I cant tell for sure if Mike used this two colors in his radios, but Im pretty sure that whatever he did, was the correct thing cause... well, we know how Mike works. In this picture, I think its looks like the two colors scheme is showing. A tone of gray for the faceplate, and a tone of darker gray black for the main body. So, anyway, I agree with ppl that have said in other threads that the radio was probably uses as it was, and just attached to the packs due to needing to meet a deadline and production budgets, but the colors and letters dont appear in film cause of technical stuff... So, anyway, what I would do If I had a radio from Mike would be: Use it as it is for now. And if in the future a better reference, fact or even a real Sonix Victory 75 appears, you could always modify it. But thats me. Saludos! Dutch Dirty Trooper
That's indeed one of the pictures i was talking about iconoclasta...thanks m8 ! It can be the sunshine also !? I'm not saying it's indeed grey..it looks grey to me...so it's more a wanna know question !! As the same for the move along ammo pouche. To me it looks like the green canvas WW II ammo pouche. The sunlight turns up a green colour as far i can see !? Grtz RAY
