kurtweinreich
This may be a a really stupid question... But what is the exact rank designation for the differnt colored pauldrons? Mine is grey and I was told that these were for the dewback riders. Confirmation please for black, orange, grey and white. Thanks!
TD7722
Orange = Captain White = Sergeant Black = Private/Enlisted Grey = Dewback Rider
Daetrin
Well, there is a different POV that there is no grey. The dewback rider that appears to have a grey pauldron has instead a really dirty/dark white pauldron. Frankly I could never understand why a dewback rider would have a special pauldron that was not rank related - what happens when he dismounts? Who would know what rank he had? Also in most services there are different grades of enlisted. It's probably more accurate to think of them as: White: enlisted (non-NCO) Black: NCO (non-commissioned officer) Orange: Officer / Warrant Officer My $.02. Paul TK-1968 (working on that TD!) TD7722
No grey pauldron is correct - as you can see in this classic picture, it is white: Why a grey?? Coz Hasbro can sell 10,000,000 of them, and did.
kurtweinreich
Thanks, guys. I was beginning to feel that I wasn't special or had a great idea. I guess I will be a "Hasbro Dewback Rider."
