SethB6025
I've got to take off a bit of spray paint from my new helmet. Anyone know of something that will remove dry spray paint, and not remove the shine from, or melt the abs? It sounds like a total noob question, but I don't know the answer. pUG
I have heard that lighter fluid works, but dont quote me on that!! Depends on how much, a little over spray? I scraped a little off mine then with ABS polish.............then I got it all dirty anyway, which can cover a lot of crap up.
SethB6025
I'll have to give it a shot. Oh, yeah, it's a paint run from my crap job of masking
TD-4242
Was a finger nail not quite enough to get it off? Every time I've had a paint run on abs I've been able to scratch it off with a finger nail and it worked about perfect.
SethB6025
I have managed to scrape some off with a fingernail, patience, a slow hand, and an X-acto knife. But that is a slow go. I was hoping for some magical quick fix.
PNerves
If I'm not late on this, vegetable oil works great for removing adhesive, so maybe it would work on paint.. no idea though...
Jack_bauer
U did a bit of overspray on my chest piece and used a spray bottle version of "Goo-Gone" that I got at Ace Hardware. It wasn't exactly goo gone but one of those citric "remover" type of things just like it. Worked WONDERS!
maj_hassel
I second that. Goo Gone works wonders at removing those "boo-boos."
