castironcisterns99
Good afternoon all, I was directed to this forum by my friend Jack N, as I have a number of spare Shires UP syphons that I've saved in my workshop over the past few years for spares. However I've since learnt there is a market for them, and I'm happy to sell mine off. Some of them require a bit of restoration, others to be resprayed, others good condition. 4 UP90 Syphons included, and the rest are all UP100s. If there's any interest in these, let me know, or I sell them off as a job lot. Kind regards, Dylan

castironcisterns99
Hi, just checked with Jack, suggested I sell them at £400 for the UP90 versions. Happy with £275 for the UP100s tho.

castironcisterns99
No worries, I did think that was too much & I should have asked you (the buyer) first. Plus I was told the going rate was £200 per syphon back in 2020.. What would you typically pay for a UP90 out of your past experiences? bigwam
A few years ago, new UP100s were selling for just under 100 pounds. Charging these prices for used UPs now is extortionate. You can do a lot with fans, and they'll pay a lot. But here someone is hoping to make a quick buck at the expense of a few willing fans. No thanks – not interested. iconoclasta_88
I was super excited at first. Then read the price tag. No more excitement here. Just frustration. You clearly have no use for them, at the same time these could be labeled as treasures for us. But either way, they are just old outdated plumbing parts aka garbage, for most ppl. Hope you can match a price that can work for your target market. And really hope this syphons end up in a MEPD member backpack! Thanks for bringing it here, and good luck with the sale. Saludos.
