TD-4510
I know, I know Sandtroopers dont wear em'. But, I have a nice AP I would like to make some bubble lenses for. Does anyone know how they are made? If so please explain.
troopermaster
AA told me he sucks the plastic through an open mould (like a goggle frame) at a certain pressure so it causes the bubble effect. You could try heating some perspex or similar plastic and pushing it through the eye socket's with your thumb or a tea spoon.
clutch
Seems like someone would start selling bubble lenses. There sure seems to be a demand for it. I could use a couple of sets myself.
TD-4510
I too contacted AA and he said the same thing. On the other boards I have heard about the spoon method and seen the results, they were surprisingly good. Do you think that a green face shield would work if heated up? I was thinking about tracing the eyes of my helmet and cutting a mold out of wood. Then I would just heat up the plastic and push it through with a spoon. The hard part would be getting them to look the same depth.
