I wanted something that was easy to breathe through, was removable for SWAT submission, and didn't show when trooping. I used metal mesh material commonly found at the home improvement stores for keeping leaves out of the gutter. (You can purchase a small 4' section). It's easy to cut and bend. Once painted, I wrapped the edges with industrial strength velcro, and affixed it inside the bucket.
