Purplehaze
Hi everyone, Can you please tell me if the FX & eFX are one and the same as i was going to order one but if the MEPD dont allow them then i wont order it. Thanks Andrew.
Too Much Garlic
FX is an old fan sculpted helmet - highly inaccurate and to be honest, quite outdated and not really worth the money. eFX is a licensed company selling idealized helmets. DirtyBoy
eFX was made by the same people who did the master replica helmet (MRCE) but a little better.
iconoclasta_88
And, most important ... if you are working in a new TD or TK, I would not go for eFX or FX at all... From ATA to RS to TM, there are much better options out there, for all budgets and quality. If you need more info, let us know. Saludos. Too Much Garlic
I wouldn't go with ATA.
T-BONE
What is the roomiest bucket that is mepd acceptable? My wife needs one but she freaks out in my ap!
iconoclasta_88
Pretty much all ANH are similar in the way that it comes to how much room you've got depends on how it is assembled. But, anyway, Ive heard the eFX is a bit bigger... and it is accepted by the MEPD for police officer, not for SWAT. But, as mentioned, it is not 00% accurate since it is an idealized helmet. Saludos. DirtyBoy
Exactly...it is bigger but you have to do a ton of mods to make acceptable. Better off just going with a local builder
Dozer105
what kind of mods would i have to do to the efx I have one its what my GML recommended I get for being a first timer? also any thoughts on a vendor site called Armor Depot some one mentioned them to me and I am curious as their sand trooper kit is affordable just wanna make sure before i buy one that its legit and what not thanks all
iconoclasta_88
If you have not yet gotten any kit, I would say stay within the trusted makers and vendors of the 501st. Most, if not all, outside providers will only sell recast FX or cheap recasts of TE derived armor. Not worth the money even if it is just a couple hundred bucks. Check this thread: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=10053 And also this: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7240 There you will find most of the info you need to start getting all you need. If you have any question, feel free to post or PM. Saludos. Juan
iconoclasta_88
Also, if you still have not bought the eFX, get an ANH bucket with your kit. It will be more accurate and look better and is not that difficult... Saludos.

Juan I figured as much but its always good to hear another opinion thanks again Juan I plan on using one of the sources mentioned on those links do you know if there are any reputable ones for Clone Troopers cause I am also trying to build a Galactic Marine set as well and so far my research has left me dry. I am going to CVI as myself but hopefully by the next one that comes around I will have some Armor to show up in
DirtyBoy
Galactic marines and clones in general a super difficult to build. You may want to get your hands dirty before taking on one I those...the sourcing on GM parts are also very limited.
Dozer105
thanks Dirty Boy well i still gonna build my TD first before all others the GM will be a rainy day build when I have nothing else to do but your right its very limited. After i get my TD done i will play around with making molds and what not but right now I just wanna get my armor and start trooping.
