Whats up troopers!

Working on putting together a TD outfit. I just tried my hand at making Hovi Mic tips. Please take a look and let me know what you think. If any one has measurements on Hovi Mic tips please post them here.

Thanks for checking them out!

Joel,

The correct Hovi Mic Tips don't have as prominent fins on the sides. Any chance you can cut these down?

What did you make these from and any reason you aren't using some supplied with your helmet or by one of the armour makers on these forum boards? Only ask because you may not get cleared for MEPD duty with these.

Nick,

Yes I could cut them down, I made them out of Fimo and Stainless steel tubing. I haven't been able to locate some one making them (at least here in the U.S). When I got my bucket they were not included. So then I thought i would try my hand at making some. I figured with a back ground as an artist and a tool and die maker I should be able to make something that works. The intent was to see more over if I could make them or not. i haven't been able to get any real clear pictures of the originals. I will tweek on them a little.

Thanks for the input!

Marcus!

Thanks mate! Those measurements are awesome. They are very close to what I made! I am new to trooping and thought I would make these first, if I really get in to trooping I want to buy the mic set that is wired.

Thanks again!

Thanks Rick!

I think I will make a couple more, the next ones I will make the fins a little thinner as well as the base. The measurements Marcus gave are within .030 of an inch to what I made.

Thanks again everyone!
