  1. Hello, TD 6115 respectfully requesting 501st/detachment access. I was just reactivated after a 9 year hiatus. Man it feels good to troop again. https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=7931&costumeID=2
  2. Yeah. From what I've read.. fla heat will really do a number on it. Kinda concern me a bit not only because I'm considering this kit but my field pack has several printed parts but those are PLA+ which supposedly doesn't have the same issue.. at least not as bad anyway
  3. Greetings Troopers. I wanted to ask if any TDs in Florida or really warm environments by chance have a 3D printed dlt19? I'm looking at picking up a kit but from what I've heard recently.. PLA is not really durable when it comes to heat. Like.. will it be safe in my bin in my car in FL in summer for a couple hours? Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance
  4. Awesome!! Thank you Bigwam. Oh, that's not mibe. Its actually from a SWAT submission thread for a roadblock captain v2 which doesn't have it on the left knee. It just happened to be a quick access image to show the thigh strip not going all the way. I wasn't sure if it should if it wasn't character specific but I really appreciate your input!!
  5. Thanks for your help! I've been looking at all kinds of reference and have seen that the cover strips go all the way to the bottom in some but not in others. I know they go all the way up for sure! Does it vary by specific trooper by chance? Or possibly by the armor maker? I know On some kits the area is raised around the bottom of the thigh.. like a detail lip and the center strip on my set is actually flush down the middle and all the way to the bottom. Does that make sense? My cover strip lay flush and not hit a stopping point at the lower raised lip. I'm just not sure if I should take that cover strip all the way down or stop at would would be the raised lip... I know On the right thigh it doesn't really matter because of the ammo belt covering the area but on the left... I'm just not sure
  6. Hello troopers! I'm currently building a moncal set of armor and am about to start on the thighs and calves and am shooting for PO shortly after reactivation. My question is... Should the cover strips run the full length of the thigh from top to bottom or should they stop short of the raised bottom edge of the thigh? Thanks in advance for your help and guidance
  7. I'm working on getting everything together for my costume for submission and will be applying for PO soon after but I have a question about the diameter of the snaps on the right side of the ab as well as the butt piece... Ive been trying to research and read everything i can find but this piece of info is evading me lol. What is the diameter of the visible back side of the snaps? Is it just a sort of visual and exact size isn't necessary or should I go with an 8 or 10mm? Thanks in advance
  8. Hello, everyone. I've been inactive for a few years (DZ/TS-6115 FLG/Makaze) but am currently working on getting a sandy together for approval and reactivation. I look forward to getting up and running soon as well as getting back into the trenches and trooping with you fine folks!
