  1. It's okay at the bottom but the line on the right of the coverstripe is really visible. Maybe good for basic approval but you would have to improve that should you consider going for PO/Level 2.
  2. Hi Shawn, have a look at this site: https://tk386.com/backpacks/ On pack#3 you can find the exhaustport but I guess you already know all these sources. The biggest challenge seems to be getting the dimensions right as the feet have to allign perfectly with those three increases on the upper seedtray. I have scratchbuilt mine.
  3. Cool, sludge (ABS and acetone paste) is way better than any kind of putty, well done! I wonder if that difference will still be recognizable after you have finished weathering. Depending on how strict your GMO who's checking your application will be, it might still be possible that you will have to paint it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you mate.
  4. Hey my fellow dirty dudes, among the tatooine dwellers is a special one which I always found really cool and although he´s officially not part of the MEPD, I consider him one. Backup for our squad, without him we probably wouldn´t be able to make such breathtaking arrests: I´m speaking of Garindan, his voice might be strange and squeaky but he´s definitely getting his job done. So I have decided to build myself this costume, except for the rubber snout and such accessories as the boots, gloves and belt, everything is self-made, even the comlink and all of the sewing, which I hate so much. So here he is, my Garindan: Cheers mates
  5. Great idea! That way you can be certain that your weathering looks uniform. Man I wish I had so much space to work on my stuff.
  6. Thanks Daniel, same to you and everyone at the MEPD.
  7. Looks like you've saved it, nice work. You will probably have to paint it. What kind of putty have you used?
  8. Looks cool already, love the self-made stand. Who's the maker of that Armor?
  9. Hey John, I don't think you're crazy, I can completely understand you mate! Go for it and have fun, looking forward to seeing pics of your progress.
  10. Hi Alex, welcome and thank you for your interest in becoming an MEPD-deployed officer. The MESP and the hunters are always in need of new recruits! Great work mate, you´ve already made those required changes even before I was able to write your review. But I have to admit that I have never before seen so many fans in a Sandtrooper lid, looks more like Vader´s helmet interior. I guess you will be one of the coolest dirty dudes out there. Your gear looks great and you are a worthy addition to the ranks of the MEPD´s finest, be proud of yourself! I salute you mate… As I have no blue milk here at the moment, I´ll have a beer, Prost! You have successfully followed the guidelines in regards to the MEPD CRL and have met all requirements. Please send the pic you want to use to Luis (Sandman Tigui) and we'll get you squared away. We will have your updated information uploaded into the MEPD system very soon. Congratulations on becoming a Deployed Officer of the MEPD! Cheers mate! Hausi - MEPD Deployment Officer
  11. And another garrison/patrol with a mini-dirtydude, really cool!
  12. Hi Alex, your DLT is good to go, looks dusty as if it has seen quite a lot of sand. You will have to change the snap on the upper right side of your abdomen, what we need to see there is the back of a male snap. Furthermore the canvas on your ammobelt looks way too clean, spray some water on it to make it damp, then take an old wet towel, dab it into some black amd earth coloured acrylic paint and rub it carefully across the belt. I would suggest doing the same with the shoulder straps. Finally I will have to see a pic of the splitrivet in the codpiece. As soon as you've made these adjustments and posted new pics, I'll start your review. Minor adjustments only so go for it mate!
  13. Thanks for taking the time to start this comparison feature Thomas. Very interesting insight. Hopefully it will help us to find some more of these "unicorns".
  14. Mount it on your pack Bro!!!! Simply amazing and great that this has found its way to Germany... where I can touch it.
  15. You'r doing a great job David, cool pictures!
  16. Hi Shaun and Stefan, welcome to the MEPD! Always nice to see more people finding their way here and also nice to have another fellow German wanting to join the ranks. Have fun here guys at one of the best detachments!
  17. Your gear looks very good already mate! I also always start my weathering process with a few layers of black wash, after that comes the earth-coloured wash, so yours is a good base already. Way to go mate and good luck!
  18. It's not really worth to be mentioned, I know people who have way more helmets than I have. From time to time I sell one again to raise fund for new projects, I just love building helmets, especially HDPE buckets. Have a special one in the works right now.
  19. So cool to see the real thing Vincent, thanks for sharing, I'm happy for you! I don't want to know how many of them were actually just thrown away, now it seems people start to realize what this actually is. On the other hand they also realize that it's valuable to some and that they can ask for a serious amount of money, which is pretty sad.
  20. Hey Darren, don't worry, I'm pretty sure he has received the message and will get back to you very soon, guess he's busy, keep in mind that we all work regulary jobs. And trust me, those pics are worth a little wait!
