*DONE* TD-7725 Requesting Deployment
ScoutSi replied to ScoutSi's topic in MEPD Police Officer Program
Thanks guys, you are very kind. Real life got in the way of this build many times, and i think a few in my garrison were wondering if i'd ever get it finished Feels great to get it done, if fact having this costume approved was more exciting than any of my others Now hoping i pass my deployment checks - fingers crossed -
Thanks Felix I used a white wax crayon, and rubbed it over the letters so it filled the recesses, then rubbed off the excess with my thumb

Thanks everyone

Here is my doopydoos E-11 Build. I wanted to build a nice standard E-11 to replace my old and beat up PVC pipe build, which was showing a lot of wear and tear, and wasn't as accurate as I'd have liked. Next stop will be a Bapty project, then i have both options for trooping. The kit is a couple of years old and was a bit of a mess, so it took quite a lot of clean up. The front sight was pretty much solid resin and took a ton of dremeling out. Also the folding stock was broken in transit, but I managed to repair it. I have replaced the Doopydoos magazine with a more accurate one from gazmosis over on FISD Parts ready to go - you can see the old mag and filled in front sight to the upper right Grip ready to be pinned to body Hex bolts added New magazine Stock pins Cleaned, assembled and ready for some primer Spring Pre-Assembly and weathering Letters Whitened on scope Finished blaster - just need to add lenses to the scope I actually finished it before the Christmas holidays and saved this WIP in word, then forgot about it. D'oh. Next stop - Bapty build Si

Looking for TD armor for bigger frame TD. :)
ScoutSi replied to wvtrooper's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
Do you know what make of helmet and armour you originally bought? RT-Mod armour is often a good choice for the bigger trooper, might be worth exploring? -
ScoutSi requesting 501st access, i'm not sure why its has gone, but my legion ID is still in my profile date Thanks

Some more progress today, I've managed to finish the weathering on the backpack and Pauldron: Apologies for pic quality - took on the wifes iphone Had a quick suit up to check fitting etc : One for a laugh I can walk fine although i didnt think i'd be able to as the gap between thigh and shins isn't as big as it is on my TK. Just need to shape the butt plate a little more with the hairdryer too Any advice to see what else needs doing? Cheers

Finally some progress! Been busy getting the house ready for an imminent baby arrival but I've been chipping away at this build here and there - Armour is now weathered using the good old Woodland Scenics method, and after many many layers i'm hopefully done - Pack is built but needs weathering - Pauldron needs weathering Took a load of pics but it was really bright today so everything looks a little lighter than it actually is Pouches Pack and pauldron (not yet weathered) Managed to snag a real tupperware dish Apologies for the shed load of pictures, but its been several months of work condensed into one post Tomorrow will be dirtying up the pack and pauldron, then suiting up for some pre-clearance pics so i can check it and make sure the fitment is still ok I'd appreciate and advice/comments/criticism Thanks Si

This is a cross post of my Sandtrooper WIP from my garrison foums, i decided to put it here after getting to a point where Im at the final hurdle. The backpack and E-11 are done and Ive already done a WIP for the MG15 that can be found here: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=11850 First post is from last year - see latest post for current progress At first I was rebuilding an set of SDS armour, but I wasnt happy with the way it was built or the accuracy so I decided to buy a new set from the guys at RS Props, as I already have the RS helmet. Its local to me so I nipped down to their workshop and got fitted up for a suit. With the help of the guys at RS, Ive got my armour built: Shin closure Boots Did a quick test fit to see how it felt, and it needs a slight bit of adjustment, but not too much. Had to raise the biceps a touch, and I still need to get a hairdryer and shape the butt piece a little to stop it flaring out This is just a test fit of the armour before adding all the extras: Thanks Si

Nice work! Now it needs some dirt

RIP brother. Thoughts go out his family and friends

Nice looking MG15! Definitely my favourite of the heavy weapons, which is why i built one
-
I agree, they are the same troops form the Tantive IV but with extra kit and weapons to suit the climate of Tatooine. Its the same as soldiers deploying to a desert counrty; they change their camo and equipent to suit the enviroment

After several layers of weathering my MG15 is pretty muchfinished. Need to add the rubber eye piece to the snooper scope but I'm happy to call it done Pics: Hope you approve Cheers Simon
