  1. Has this issue been resolved yet? I have a new trooper who is wanting to register and get working on his build here, but can't get registered and logged into the forums. Any chance someone can contact him over on FISD? He was going to PM Darth Aloha on FISD but apparently can't do that, either, over there as DA is "unable to receive new messages". http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38244-hello-from-socal/page-2#entry514516
  2. There's a planned update to the CRL for ANH Stormtroopers that hasn't made it onto the "live" CRL yet. I believe TyWebb is correct that it is for Level 3 only. Also, ONLY for armor that did not have a notch molded in by the manufacturer. The discussion thread re the CRL update (which was approved, but again, has not yet been integrated in the main CRL page yet) is here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36618-crl-change-discussion-kindey-notches-for-all-tk-costumes/

  4. Definitely agree cutting the cod should be the very LAST resort.
  5. I don't think you mentioned how tall you are? If we're around the same height, it's also possible for proportions to be different... you may have a longer trunk and shorter legs, for instance, than I do, yet be the same height. Looking at how the backplate is laying on your back, it looks pretty similar to mine. As long as the ab/cod is truly as high as it can get (and while you don't want to sing soprano, you SHOULD be making contact and have it snug... think cup/jockstrap snug, as far as the twig and berries are concerned), you do have one remaining last-ditch option: Split the cod from the ab plate. Then you get an extra inch (or three) of height, and move everything up, which brings the kidney plate up with it. There's a limit to what you can do which this, since that bring the buttplate higher, too, and you can't have that digging into your crack, either, but it can probably at least get you an extra inch without a problem. You can shim the connection between the ab and cod, just like any other shim, or some people even leave it flexible (which actually makes sitting and peeing possible!). The new seam between the cod and ab plate is hidden behind the belt, so this is a permissible mod, for taller troopers. All that said, cutting the cod is definitely a last-resort situation.
  6. 1) Are the sides correctly aligned? Can't see in the pics. 2) Is the cod absolutely as high as you can get it without changing your vocal pitch higher? You've already straighten the back straps, right?
  7. If you're addressing the question to me, I'm not sure, as I haven't measured... the size of the straps is whatever Anovos offered. I definitely didn't shorten them during the build. Here's a shot of my back, if it helps. A few minor adjustment issues here, but nothing major, and the back is fairly clear. (except one stupid shoulder strap wasn't in position)
  8. Just decorative or actually for the wire hoops? For decorative, I ordered these, which are the size that Mr No Stripes uses on his kit except shorter, since they're not going through hoops: 3mm A2 Stainless Steel Slotted Countersunk Machine Screws Bolts M3 X 6 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B3RGQOS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. Have you straightened out your backplate's shoulder straps? I'm 6'3" and I don't have a gap wearing mine, although it's close to the limits. Should be even easier with a TD than a TK since no plastic shoulder straps on top. The "stock" bend of the backplate's shoulder "nubs" puts the plate way too high on most people.
  10. Yup, although TB sheets are fairly spendy, and they're also offline for the rest of this month, IIRC, not taking orders as the owner is unavailable for a bit.
  11. Yup, still getting the warning from Firefox/Google as well. I mark as "not evil" every time, only takes a few clicks, but it still comes back after a bit...
