  1. Paul, great work, I have started the "buy TM armor fund".....
  2. Awesome, can't wait to see pictures. Thanks for the update Paul.
  3. Phil, nice to meet you. Always feel free to post pics of the stuff you have made, that would be cool to see. Take care, Jonathan.
  4. I agree Rolf, that would be great. Thanks. That would be interesting to see, Rolf.
  5. Well said. Mike, keep us updated as you continue with this project. Great work!
  6. Thanks Zac. I will check in to that as well.
  7. Welcome, glad to have you here.
  8. One other quick note, thanks to Chris and Chazz for all the emails and help.
  9. looks awesome. I recently did my first round of weathering. I definitely like how yours turned out.
  10. Thanks Tom, I appreciate the info. I will definitely check in to it.
  11. Thanks! Is this what I need and where I need to order it from? http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/clay/clay.php It gives two options basically, 1 and 5 pound bags. I am assuming 1 pound will be sufficient??
  12. Well, here is a test piece that I did for weathering. I don't have any artistic ability....never painted anything, so this was a new adventure for me. I am not 100% happy with the look, I feel that it needs a little bit more of a dusty appearance, but overall for my first try, I was happy with the outcome. Please let me know what you think, pros and cons. I welcome any suggestions. Thanks! Jonathan
  13. I think this might be what you are looking for...check this out: http://www.mepd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2579
  14. I second the cement. I have used the E6000 and I am too impatient to wait until it dries. Just my two cents....
  15. Awesome work, I would love to hear your weathering technique as well. It looks great!
  16. Harry, the armor looks awesome! Great job!
  17. That is great, I didn't know Amazon offers free shipping. That makes it a no-brainer. Rocko, if the book weighs 7 pounds, postage to Germany would cost $35, and it would get to you in 7-10 days. I am not sure what the book will weigh, but I will check with my sister and see if she can find out. Then I can get you a more accurate shipping cost. Thanks!
  18. My sister works for a book distributor, and I have talked to her about getting books for us. She gets 41% off of the retail price $75, which works out to $44.25 + tax. The book is set for release on April 24th. If you are in the Nashville area, (or don't mind traveling a little bit) let me know and I will get you one. Since the Amazon price is $47, you are really only saving the shipping cost. She can purchase as many as we want as long as they are not used for resale.....and I don't think that is going to be a problem. PM me if interested, just thought I would offer. Thanks, Jonathan
  19. In the even this gets locked, I wanted to be able to say Congrats Mike! I hope it happens and I will be sending one your way for your John Hancock.
  20. I totally agree Tom. I still consider myself a newbie on this board, but the support and friendships I have formed here have been awesome. I can name several members that have helped me out with EXTREMELY elementary questions concerning armor, paint, weathering, whom to contact about certain issues, etc. even if it didn't pertain to sandtroopers. On occassion, I have been invited to troop with other members in states other than my own, which is pretty cool. This is a great place. We have a strong passion for what we do, and I hope we are able to maintain what makes this a special place. Cudos to the leadership for striving to make this a unique place to gather and discuss topics. I appreciate all of your efforts. Jonathan
  21. Great work TM! Mike you have my curiousity up....curious to see what you make.
