  1. Thanks guys. Will check request forum access when I'm back, cheers. No, didn't know u were on here Ian, you get everywhere mate, ha ha!! :-)
  2. Hi all. Currently away on a week's break with the family and the Internet connection is rubbish. Just grabbing a bit of Wi Fi whilst I can :-) Got email through from UKG saying my Sandie has cleared first time. I am a very happy man right now. I will be applying for deployment here once I have done my induction and would like to try for Police Officer level too after hearing your guys thoughts on my armour and kit. I would also like to change my username on here to something more Sandie related, as this is my UKG name I'm using. Already spoken to Rick about this and once I've made up my mind I'll give him a buzz on here. I have two possibilities at the moment :-) Ok. Back to the holiday and out of the wi Fi, ha ha Speak soon Craig
  3. This is one of the best pieces of news to come out recently. Especially with all the horror stories regarding the possibility of Justin Bieber, Zac Effron and Daniel Radcliffe maybe getting roles on Episode 7. Star Wars isn't Star Wars without John Williams score. That's me speaking as a Star Wars fan and a musician and a lover of music :-)
  4. Hi all. So, while I await to hear about my clearance from UKG, I was wondering if it was possible to change my Username on here to something more Sandtrooper related, ready for when I ask for deployment here at MEPD. When I signed up here I just used the same username I had done on UK Garrison site to avoid any confusion. I think I found a thread on here where you can ask Rick to change your name. Is it as simple as that? If so, gotta start thinking about some possible names. I have a couple in mind :-) Cheers Craig
  5. Thanks Branden. Yes, more tall Sandies needed for sure ;-) Hoping it clears with the RS sanding . If/once it does I will add more and darken her up some more for deployment on here. Nothing worse than a nearly dirty boy, ha ha!! It's been nearly 6 days so far since I put in for clearance. Not a peep from UKG yet. May have another 2 weeks to wait. Nooooooooo!!!!! :-) Hopefully be joining your esteemed ranks soon Cheers Craig
  6. Superb photos and info Smally. Thanks for sharing , really great stuff :-)
  7. Not seen that method before but looks really great. Giving me ideas :-) Great work buddy :-)
  8. Love one for my 9 yr old daughter , they look great and she loves Sandies! Actually , I could get a smaller one for my 15 month old daughter too. She'll grow to love Sandies too, ha ha! :-)
  9. Great photos buddy. Looked like a fantastic troop :-)
  10. Thanks Rolf, I'm so pleased with it all. Itching to get cleared and trooping buddy :-)
  11. Sorry Neil, seems my new sexy lid may be opening up a little can of worms for you buddy. You know you're gonna get a new one ;-)
  12. Great links. Loving them even more now I have my armour. :-)
  13. Ok. Bicep hooks have been made and glued on :-) Cheers troopers :-)
  14. Thanks Frank. Another trooper led me to that link earlier on buddy. I'm currently just marking up one piece of plastic to make my first hook :-) Take it easy Craig
  15. Ha ha, anything went, back in the day. We take it more seriously now than the film guys did ;-) thanks for your comments bro :-)
  16. That's great info, appreciate everything people throw at me so all good buddy. The biceps and forearms came joined together, so that is why they are on the wrong arms - due to me having the thumbprint on the wrong right up instead of correct left. I like the bicep hook idea. That is my next job. Many thanks :-)
  17. This is the belt pouch Neil and I were questioning. I've contacted RS but no reply yet. It looks the same as the backpack pouch minus the tool pouch, which I haven't seen in any reference photos. The normal MP38/40 side pouches are smoother looking and have a different design. In my head I need 2 of the 'normal' MP38/40 side pouches. This sits at a funny 45 deg angle too. Is it clearable for Police officer? Cheers
  18. Ok. Just gave the thight tops a little trim as suggested. Didn't trim any further else I thought it would leave the parts behind a bit exposed. Shouldn't dig in now :-) Before : And after :
  19. Thanks for that buddy. Great fix. I have some of that plastic in my van ( I'm a plumber) my next little project. Cheers :-)
  20. Thanks Justus, ain't that the truth!! Love it :-) And thank you for confirming the bicep imprint on the left Felix. They may even sit better now without any extra fixings or padding. I will test later Cheers fellas :-) Craig
  21. Yes, just thinking about the knee gap kneel myself, especially as like you say, I need to get shins fixed down a bit more to boots. **** my freakish stature, ha ha!! The elastic webbing, Velcro and rivets should come today so i'll have a play with the bicep - shoulder joint and shin to boot top. I have a pair of those lexicon scissors so i will trip the top of right thigh too and file edges smooth. :-) And also, anyone else have the definite answer to which arm side the 'thumb printed ' armour goes. I am wearing it on my right here but Ruggero is pretty sure it should go on left? Cheers troopers Craig
  22. Thanks Marcus. Yes, we noticed the arms were a little loose, had some small movement when they were moved around. Got some thin foam on order and was going to attach to inside of them for a bit of padding? RS forgot to pack the black 'suspender' belt that holds the legs up, so I was using a standard belt for these photos as makeshift. Hoping that will hold them up a bit tighter. Cheers for the comments bro, bring on the troops, hopefully soon :-)
