  1. I believe that they include both pieces to build a TK or a TD in the same standard kit. Most vendors do that but if you're uncertain you can just ask them. They have a great custom support Good luck with your future build!
  2. Smokes! I love tis one Would like to be in this photo next year!
  3. That's awesome! Spread the word! I think 8000 might be a more reasonable goal?
  4. That's so cool! Thanks Dutchy for informing me about this! I had no idea that this already existed I think it is a great idea with the deputy thingy. Would it be possible to maybe giving them an own section on the forum where kids armor can be discussion, build threads stored and show ofs etc.?
  5. What would the benefit of this sponsoring be? Is there a problem that hinders "normal" people with no connection at all to the legion to join this?
  6. Congrats to both of you! I believe this will be one heck of a year!
  7. Is this something where everyone under 18 can join or only relatives to members? The ID-solutions suggested above rely on the person having an already approved parent or relative. I'd suggest that they simply get a new abbreviation like the one already suggested (TKc) and then are allowed to choose any new number? Otherwise I think this is a great idea. I myself had to wait half a year before i could submit so I know how hard that wait is. Let us give them something to do meanwhile!
  8. When it comes to weathering I believe it is hundred per cent up to you what you like. Personally I like the weathered look and I think your´s is very nice. But in your case it all comes down to how hard the weather is to get off, how much effort you want to put into it, how happy you are with it today or how close you can get the new parts to the old. Think about these four points and the choice should be easy Here is a pic of my FX armor drenched in dirt and paint
  9. One really must appreciate the work of the legion and the members. We literally go through s h i t to look good to others and to make people smile...
  10. Adam Probert TD-12042 http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=16717 requesting santrooper access
  11. As stated the blaster is from Blaster8266 so ask him directly if you want answers, he might let you in on secrets, what do I know?
  12. If you don't want to go "as" broke as with the RS armor you should also look into ATA if you're in for a bit of waiting. Good luck
  13. Great job this far! I admire you for making your own instead of purchasing one. I would never dare doing that I'll be viewing this with real interest
  14. I'm guessing that's why no one commented... Show larger pics and we'll be at it ^^
  15. I still need to reweather the torso other than that It should be all done. You gave me some great tips on the way
  16. Finally you started the wip! I've seen that you've done lots of research so there shouldn't really be any problems There are a few runs of pouches on this forum so those ehould be. easy to find. Good luch again and may the force be with you.
  17. Thanks for all the good words. I will clean the weathering some time next weekend and will show the results after that
  18. I used acrylic paints with raw umber as the base coat and just a tiny bit of burnt umber by the cover strips. I applied it all with a fair share of water and dabbed it of and reapplied it all a few times. At least that's what I did with the bucket, arms and legs. The torso is done with more burnt umber and less water. I preferred the first method way more.
  19. Thanks for input! I'm guessing your referring to the black spots on the kidney- and but plate mainly? And the belt will definitely get a layer of paint. As for the pauldron it looks way more dirty in real life so not sure it is needed.
  20. So here's my first attempt at weathering. I run out of test pieces before I finished deciding which method to use so I will likely re weather the AB-plate, kidney plate, butt plate and plausibly the back plate as well. Any feedback on the weathering would be greatly appreciated.
  21. Hi and welcome Ricky! The bucket is a no, no but the armor might be able to make it, however it will take some time and modding. I'm working on the same projekt but that is only because I can't afford a newer and better armor. If you can afford a new armor you should get it. Thats what I would have done if i could. I'f you decide to go with the FX I can help you Good luck with everything.
  22. Fix what Cornell said and submit those photos, there should be no problem being approved! You might also want to dirty up the amopack a bit. It might be the angle but it looks nearly white. (On an entirely other note what is the guy behind you wearing? )
