  1. Thanks a lot!! here some more pictures of the actual progress and so I hope final lap
  2. Thank You Juan. Very good that You tell me with the blue box, didnt realize that so far.
  3. Thank You Juan! Yeah indeed most of ANH on Sandies specially I can imagine it was put together in a hurry or with improvisation Nice that I can post here. I mostly watched the tips thread that is pinned here, PO approvals on how the backpack locks or things might have been attached and also pandatroopers build so far. As I'm not that electrically good and equipped I go way hard ways . Drilling holes with a modeller's driller for kits is hard, but saver for me. Agree that it Needs a certain look and I try to match it, also with later weathering. This is now from today the upper part, more things are already prepared for giving it a go when missing pieces arrive
  4. Thanks! Well I bet it's gona be "heavy" :-) Now made it that way. I think almost all attach the parts on to those long stripes (dont know the real matching word now) It was just not pefectly matching on the lower end. Would have had to screw on far edges. Didnt want to do that. Using almost light M3 screws only and drill all by hand
  5. Great advices! Too bad that here in shops there seems to be no such a sold tube diameter norm of 6.34mm / 2.5" :-/ only sell DN53 (53mm 2.1" and DN70 70mm 2.75" wich looks quite bulky
  6. Yeah right. Much important too is a good and holding primer. On my stinger the Color started to fall off without touching it :-/ Had to grind that thing all over again for next try
  7. Alright! Yeah those on the balcony look good. I keep it painted with it.
  8. and here I found a Tamiya spray colors chart: It's TS41 (coral blue) and looks like TS72 (clear blue) :-)
  9. Okay, well actually we have only foggy weatherconditions here and when I come from work its already dark. So here a pic from this morning on my balcony: and one with kitchen light, which shows up already a bit different
  10. I've tried out TAMYA Coral Blue TS-41 That Satin blue I saw before would have been my favourite, but didnt find someting like this. Result is not so bad
  11. hi there still not PO yet sadly, but I hope I will make it. Now after some heavy months of hard times and stress I started with the armour and now also the backpack as it maybe could be a must for general approval. But I think also that a pack belongs to the sandtrooper too. I must admit I had lot of respect to start. Hope the missing parts will come together soon too. Now, I'm on Backpack 3, browsed threads, looked at and save lot of pics. Sadly in some threads I cant see all. So far I started putting together what I can already build before attaching and assemblying. But more and longer I'm becoming way worried as I do not know how free one can be in the way how to put on those things. And in the end it's "only" the look that it needs to have of the 5 different packs. An example here, exhaust port box. I have Rick's boxes and as they are not flush, I asked myself how to do the assembly of it, without going danger to have to bend behind me grabbing fallen off things at first troop. 1) I designed the form onto a spacing plate for a better fixing the unflush part I cut off 2) like here 3) much better to screw now Is that "okay" ? I also have this solution in mind for the left box on top and the radio for example On the main gear I added screws on the edges . Sadly not sinking screws as I didnt find such with that length. The slots on the heads I will mold for sure. Just dont wana have it fall apart. Thank You in advance! Michael
  12. another pic from bottom . The grey stuff is what is called "mold" (Tamya Putty Basic Type, excellent to work wit but making hands really dirty) I think. Every easy to break off or lose part is multiply secured with metal sticks, for what I've cut 1mm thick nails and drilled holes by hand with a hand driller that I normally use for scalemodeling, after taking measures of the part, its somehow improvised but I think combined with 2 element composit glue it has much better hold
  13. Striker: Thanks! Looks nice!! I've already solved it for myself and.. did it the same way with a Forstner Drillbit and 5 holes. I went on either Dm101 or Billhag tutorial. Dont know exactly wich one. Tried to get into middle in proportion to the holes on the main barrel, what can't be seen here because of the perspective of the camera (again: cant make new lines **** why this?) . The little holes will be molded, and I'm not that far away from getting it to paint. There's only mounting of the counterbracket left.
  14. Wanted to do that, but as for some reasons I cannot make new lines in the forums with Enter (also in FISD) its almost impossible to make an overviewable thread Don't know why that. Cant be my keyboard as in mailingprograms its working. Anyone knows?
  15. Only this Made it this week to Level 2 - Executor status insde the IOC detachment
  16. Hope for sure that You're right. It's not TM that I'm afraid of. It's the degeneration of people
  17. Don't like to read that. Switzerland just right next to Germany. I wait for a TM that isnt yet ready to ship but should be soon. After the bad luck with tkboots I really wouldnt need that too. But after the desertpack parts have arrived safely, I dont know if I really should be worried. Still though it sounds a bit unconfortable and I just recently got a proof the parcels are treatened generally like crap that is be smashed into the car, and that mail gets stolen. Not a good feeling.
  18. Marcus, I'm talking about details , differences , like this: 3 1/2 holes 4 1/2 It's just confusing ! I see so many different things that I more and more get tempted not to even start , I mean........... it's not the same like having a clear CRL for at least the minimum requirements as reference and go after it I dont even know if it matters at all. Does it ? oh man..
  19. Hi there, one of my - advancing in the project - steps is to build together an E11 Resin kit, that I got as search for DLT19 was way very hard as european. Anyway. I've stripped all the resin parts carefully first. Soap-Washing will be done after machining before painting. I studdied Evilboy tutorial on whitearmor net and also billhag's, concerning the mount of the hengstlerbox. Meanwhile I found out where are the parts are going to, as there was no - known - description. One thing I havent found out yet though in the evilboy's build which is this http://www.whitearmo...__fromsearch__1 1) It's the number of holes in the two-part stock: Premachined I can see 3 and a half on the front part, none on the other. Ive seen pics where there are more holes than 3 and a half. Is there a MUST BE number ? Or: whats use or good for MEPD (to be honest I dont know - yet (?) if there are restrictions / rules on weapons) To repeat its the ANH version. 2) something else is the inside tube or barrel in the mainbarrel with / for the shock spring, where I have the idea of having two alu tubes with different diameters (1 with ~2cm and 1 with ~1.5) with the smallerdiamaterone longer, so the shock spring gets a hold and the tubes (glued ) dont flip arround inside . I generally only ask myself if one's free in creation and the only importance really is that it looks like the. I thought I should ask before I make the start. And again confess that this is my first armor / weapon project Best regards & thx for any advice
