Agree with Joe, Im gona defo use your strapping system, if you could just le me know how you fixed the straps to the butt and ab plate id appreciate it.

Hi Guys, I have been tasked with raising 1k for our company charity (Teenage Cancer Trust) and one of the things they suggested was a sponsored walk. So I immediatly thought of doing one in my TK or TD but still being fairly new wasn't sure of just how many km/miles is a reasonable and decent challenge to be being **** right stupid one. I have had suggested to me the London to Brighton walk thats taking place, which is 100k with break stops every 10k but that sounds a **** of a distance in plastic.......... I am reasonably fit and running 10k a few times a week to shift some left over xmas turkey. Id really appreciate any advice/expirience if anyone has done this type thing? many thanks guys Neil

Can I ask how did you fix the "over the shoulder" straps to the armour as Im goinf to change mine very soon using quick release snaps like you have. If you could let me know that would be great!!!

Thanks guys, It was great fun and I got a few "he's all dirty" comments which was great. I got more confident as the troop went on and found myself going looking for some interaction, high fives with kids was great. All the snaps held along with the backpack straps but im going to upgrade to 100mm webbing. Did'nt find those droids though.......

So my first troop today in my TD and had a blast, loved it and cant wait till next time now. Couple of pics - Few little armour issues to fix but nothing major.........

To start with the straps from the back kidney plate over the shoulders to the ab plate, from the bottom of the chest plate to the top of the ab plate. Also the side of the back ab plates to the front one. Im fairly happy with the thighs which are attached via leather belt with straps to the inside of them which are rivited on, I may update this at some point to black weebing though with elastic to the thighs.

Hi gents, Im thinking of changing my armour strapping which is currently a s mish-mash of different elastics/poppers. The snap/popper way is what I think is most common but was thinking of using quick release plastic clips like on backback straps instead and wondered if theres a reason its not more wildy used, or am I wrong? thanks Neil

Got some new 50mm replacment backpack straps cheaply from Amazon which have metal strips either end along with some caibenas to have a play around with over the weekend. Prob overkill but like im said im a ocd worrier!!! Out of interest does anyone know the screen accurate version?
