Hey Rick, So, I put a DVD into one of the smaller vintage lids I found at my moms and the lid is slightly larger than the DVD. Thoughts?

Haven't found the thread yet but found an image showing what I was referring to, where the ribbed dish fits on top of a slightly larger piece. Is this for a particular TD build? Or was it like this for all troopers?

The only kit I'm aware of is the doopy doos one, which, while others have not had any issues, I can't recommend myself due to experience with them. And again this was my sole experience with them. http://www.tk3425.com/?p=290

Over at my moms house today, helping her clean out an old storage area under her sink. As it turns out, my mom used to sell tupperware at tupperware parties when I was a kid in the 70's. I found 3 smaller ones and 1 large one down in the far back, hidden for nearly 30 years, vintage circa 1979! My SWAT upgrade I'll be working on just went a notch. I read somewhere on here that they used the smaller ribbed bottom attached to the larger lid's flat piece. Gotta find that thread. Anyhow thought I would share!

I use 2" nylon straps currently, found them in a surplus supply store.

2 hours for me. After that my right neck/shoulder go numb. But what I did was take a piece of cardboard and wrap it in that small bubble wrap and taped it up. Then I put a little piece of thin foam around and it slid that under my under armor. So it's hidden by the cauldron but the 2" straps sit on that. Seems to have helped on my last troop (When I tried it out) and we'll see how ti goes this year.

I'm all Velcro too.

I lined my stanley with 1" foam all around when I first had the TK. I thought about removing it for the TD but then realized while I wasn't worried about scratching the armor per say, there would be a chance that paint (weathering) could get worn off so I left it in. And, because of the foam on the sides, it creates 4 nice "pockets" that I can store stuff in due to the way the stanley is made.

Nice! Southern California Garrison did a signing troop for this last night along with RL in Santa Monica! No TD's though heh.

This is 100% absolutely true. Several people have told me, after seeing that my amp is in my chest, that they thought the voice was coming from my bucket. As Chuck has said, it's quite easy to trick the brain. Good idea!
