  1. Interesting to say the least, well I deleted your old one and made your new account the same display as your old.
  2. Jeff, I was able to use the admin tools to sign in as you and enter the TEST post above. By quick glance, I didn't see anything out of the norm with your account. @HappyTrooperDotCom can you take a look? @11b30b4 can you try to post again? If you're not able to, Send me an email at AirborneTrooper82573 at gmail dot com
  3. I go for as long as possible because once I take it off, it's hard for me to choose to put it back on! Hahahaha.
  4. Suck it up and troop on! LOL, in all seriousness though, I wear mine as long as physically possible and then take a break. Sometimes I put it back on and sometimes I troop without it. I prefer the look WITH but you have to choose your battles.
  5. Looks great! You did an awesome job on the weathering, so be proud of your work! Now I look forward to your pack build!
  6. Rick is retired. I don't know anyone who uses that method. I would recommend sticking to acrylic as its way easier to make changes.
  7. Oh man! This is going to be a cool project. Just need to get my 3D printer so I can join the fun.
  8. Did you change out your mortar tube end caps? Just show a picture of both ends and that should satisfy the pack requirements.
  9. I can see where your GML wants all of the sandtroopers in the garrison to look uniform. It bothers me when some GMLs think sandtroopers are supposed to be covered in weathering when that's not true. Less is more. Only need to dull out the white with a wash of some sorts and layer on distinct weathering patterns. The new Mimban trooper is an example of the OPPOSITE of what sandtrooper weathering should look like lol. We will embrace that character when/if it comes to MEPD but it's definitely on the extreme spectrum as far as weathering.
  10. If you're lazy, you can get it from TrooperBay. If you have a dremel cutting wheel you can buy one for like $5 at HD or Lowes and cut the brackets out, glue them in yourself. Then the liner slides right in.
  11. It was fairly common back then. I think it had something to do with only have the one side to cast the ROTJ tour suit. The longer side should be on the outside of your leg.
  12. Yeah it holds my head into place. I have a short neck but I can still turn my head left and right. I'll just E6000 a scrap of ABS where I need buttons at.
  13. I would add a burnt umber wash and that's really it. Some of these GMLs need to listen to detachment feedback.
  14. Scott, you could have probably found that same can in an auto parts store for cheaper. It's usually just easier to share the Amazon link though.
  15. I think your suggest cuts for the kidney, butt, and thighs look great. I'll let some of the other guys chime in about the shins.
  16. I think you need a longer belt but for now, remove the portion of velcro that is exposed when your belt if fastened. Maybe go back and do a very light wash over some parts, especially the shins since there is still some very bright white on the side of your calves. I don't think you need to go overkill though. So light wash with some watered down burnt umber and quickly blotted away will do wonders. Fix your belt, and then add some more weathering on your pouches and you should be fine.
  17. There is no set amount of weathering for basic approval. I like your current weathering better than the previous though. You are good to apply for basic approval with your GML.
  18. I have to paint in all the lines on the helmet too. I would redo the blue stripes but that's way more work than I want to do haha.
  19. Sorry about the wardrobe malfunctions but it takes a few to get things right. All trial and error. Thanks for actually providing background on your troop!
  20. You need the rubber chemical gloves with latex/flexible hand guards, elastic shoulder straps connecting the chest and back, and your assembly on both the left and right side of the ab and kidney is incorrect. Should have 3 pairs of split rivets and it should only be on the wearer's left side only. There are more corrections but these stuck out first. Should look similar to this:
  21. How'd you mange to get the ABS paste in place exactly how you wanted without it running?
