  1. ANH most def! Easily - it's the original, the one the others try to top. The more polish and garnish you lay on Vader the less convincing and scary he gets IMO. If it was a car - would you go for the one with the old gasser stance and most hp, or would you go for the too fast too fairy glossy glossy bling bling? ;D Good luck mate!

OMG! Teasing is not nice!!! Lol Interesting to see the north star logo there. Any chance to get a different pic of the serial no? It's out of focus and hard to read... Seriously droolworthy find!
  3. Wow! Nice save on the Chest piece there mate! Can't wait to get my ATA
  4. Ya, I got that - but where on the barrel did you drill (top/bottom/left/right) Wrapping it will leave the first and last turns "incomplete" (not full 360degree turns), so I'm a bit at a loss as where to start to make it look the best
  5. Hey Rick - any chance of some pics or schematics showing where you drilled the holes for the wrap-around tube? The thin tube - is that made the same way and what material have you used? Also, is there any good gallerys for reference pics of screen used T-21s? Thanks mate
  6. Fantastic work Rob!! I'm going to steal your fuel line idea but am wondering where to drill the holes to secure it - got any tips/pics? The smaller cable/wire/pipe/tube is that secured in the same manner? How far does it extend - pics would would be awesome... L
  7. Hi all! Inspired by Terry's awesome T21 build I have started my own blasterproject. When I compare Terry's excellent templates to some slightly more detailed Lewis drawings I got there is quite a lot of interpretation, eyeballing and simplification going on (thank god!) BUT is all this OK for a SWAT blaster aswell or do these have to be totally accurate (good example is Terry's barrel insides compared to the real Lewis) As much as I love building stuff I'd hate to do it twice
  8. Way to go Austin! Looking forward to see your progress Let the Rookie win!
  9. This is truly a nerdgasmic build!! I HAVE to give it a go! Biggest problem is getting pipes/tubes that correspond to the imperial measurements. I've hoovered all plumbers etc across the country trying to get 90mm pipe - no one has it as the norwgian standard in houses is 110...blargh! Luckily the force is strong with the goldfish keeping garden gnomes up here - I finally found an online garden pond centre that stocks 90mm. Yay!! Let the fun begin!! (will probably be the most expensive blaster build to date as I just realized I can't live another day without a table saw. Lol!)
  10. Great work Brian!! May I ask what dimension (mm) tubes/pipes you've used and where you got them? I want a T21 and am concidering building one myself but I'm having problems getting hold of pipes matching pandatroopers specs... Let me know if you want to ship one off to Hoth
  11. That T-21 is fantastic!! Want one. Much!!
  12. True - the modern ones are more like a cone shaped needle bearing, right? The old ones used ball bearings and thus were the shape seen here. I am SO going to rip one of the next old bike I see in a skip or at the salvage yard
  13. Hey Stu!! Thought I'd see you here Sweet - I'll ask you to death on this one I just ordered a kit from Terrel. When that is built and weathering is up be afraid, be very afraid!! Lolz WTB: Boo's wife or similar
  14. To me this part looks very much like the bearing seat from a bicycle's steering column On a different note I'm actually fiddling with the idea of using such a bearing set up on my astromech. The setup we use today involves some intensely crappy and noisy turntable bearings. With a center column bearing like that on a bike we could eliminate that noise - AND the part would become a real part of a droid, haha
  15. Hi all!! Planet Hoth needs sand!! I just entered Terrels ATA list and am thrilled about starting this project! I'm a complete armor n00b, so I'll probably ask a lot of questions you've allready answered ad nauseum - sorry to all in advance. I'm 33, have two kids and work as an Art Director in the advertising industry. I have a Fine Art degree, so I've worked with paint and pigments before - really looking forward to the weathering! Oh - and I'm one of the aluminium junkies over at astromech.net (norlemann123) Building an alu droid is expensive and takes forever - some parts only run every 2 yrs! :o My TD will be a welcome in-between project. The ATA list is currently 7 weeks, but that is nothing compared to what I'm used to with the droid. Hopefully ABS is as easy to work with as it looks, and hopefully you guys are as helpful as Terrel and all the other astromechanics
