  1. Here's my first round of modifications... Everything checks out for the most part. I know that you probably have shown the green lenses (light showing the color) in your Officer Deployment thread. (I'm assuming). But I still have to follow the checklist and request that you show that detail here as well. Again, I know that you probably have shown the canvas straps in your Officer Deployment thread. But, I still have to follow the checklist and request that you show that detail here as well. Left upper thigh armor tip needs to be re-shaped Right handplate needs to have the split / crack The upper cap of mortar tube needs to be removed. The radar dish and dish support may need to be modded a bit to reflect the picture. (See proportions) The black support base is visible. *Extra Credit: Would love to see a pic of you with the pauldron brought down in the front a bit and carrying the DLT-19 updside down as well! I shall provide you with my "extra credit" photo later once I have a chance to suit up again... hope you can continue my review without it. Thanks again for your feedback! Pete
  2. I like sand... and if you can't get "REAL" Tunisian sand, then red Nevada sand is not a bad substitute!!!
  3. Ben, Looking really nice! I like your weathering too. What did you use? Good luck with the review process.
  4. Thanks for the initial review. I will get to work right away and have pictures up when mods are finished. Thanks to all for the encouragement and support!!!
  5. Nick, Excellent find! I've stared at this trooper every day for the past 6 months and never noticed the cap was missing! Thanks for taking the time to review my submission photos. Updated photo to come. Pete
  6. Green lens and shoulder straps were satisfied when MEPD application was approved, and remain today. See my thread at http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=9981 Bee stinger is not present on this pack per trooper emulated.

  8. No, I just tied a big knot on one end. I wouldn't recommend checking it on an airplane, but it works well when going to local troops.
  9. I have used a section of "drain sleeve" to conceal my BFG. The DLT-19 fits easily inside, and it's inexpensive. You can find them at any home improvement store: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/catalog/servlet/Search?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&keyword=drainage%20pipe&Ns=None&Ntpr=1&Ntpc=1&selectedCatgry=Search+All
  10. Very cool! Can you place the droids' escape pod in the background of #2?
  11. I like velcro too, but I've placed non-functional snaps, rivets, and screws to create a more accurate look. Nothing wrong with velcro.
  12. This is a GREAT reference Rick. Thanks for posting. Beautiful work.
  13. Nicely done! I have enjoyed watching your progress and witnessing the new and improved approval process. Congrats!
  14. Awesome work Brian! I really like how you did your weathering. Good luck with your approval!
  15. Solo,"Look, I ain't in this for your pants, and I'm not in it for you, Princess. I expect to be well paid."
  16. Leia, "Governor Tarkin, I should have expected to find you holding Vader's pants. I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board"
  17. Welcome to the MEPD! With regards to "heavy tools", you won't need anything beyond your Dremel and maybe a small modeling iron if you need to bend and shape your armor. No need for the circular saw here. Most of the work is done by the "score & snap" method using a utility knife and then some sandpaper. A pair of Lexan scissors to cut through plastic will be helpful too. Just don't slice off your fingertips... Have fun!
  18. Away put your pants! I mean you no harm!!!
  19. Hoping to incorporate Skyone's Arduino kit that he's posted on FISD if possible... Should give me plenty to keep occupied next Spring!
  20. Very exciting Lou. I've been considering an E11 build but will wait for your kits to be ready.
  21. These aren't the droids we're looking for... are they???
  22. DUDE!!! You did it! (not that I doubted you would). Congrats. What are you going to do now???
  23. Good luck Ben with the modifications. It sure looks like a daunting task, but I admire your dedication. Just goes to show the level of commitment SWAT members have (current and prospective). Had to laugh at the Lone Ranger "edit"... I wonder if the server will mind if Santa says, "**-**-**"???
