  1. I use weathering powder from Forge World http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Modelling-Supplies/FORGE-WORLD-WEATHERING-POWDER-SET.html http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Modelling-Supplies/FORGE-WORLD-WEATHERING-POWDER-SET-2.html and
  2. Nice. How do you attach the lab pipe to the rest of the pack? I haven't seen any good reference pictures on this
  3. Loose the beard and moustache, that's not standard imperial issue. Just kidding, great job bro
  4. Yeah I was thinking of having a 3 slot canvas + tool pouch on the shoulder and the two 3-slots on the belt (as used by the captain - cantina version for example). I just wanted to be sure if I could use a canvas pouch on the hip or not. I was pretty sure the ones on the hips were all leather, as Kenthork said. I got this set from a german supplier though which I dyed black - and there is one 3 slot canvas pouch without the tool pouch. But I guess that one is useless for a TD?
  5. Getting my armour ready for deployment and was just wondering - is it ok to have one 3 slot canvas pouch on the hip and one 3 slot leather, or do they both need to be leather?
  6. That is insane, you got some serious sculpting skills! You should do a wearable version of that and complete the whole costume.
  7. I was hoping you'd gone for Max Rebo Bluey so we could start up the band irl But the Weequay is cool for sure. As long as we stay on tatooine all characters seem to be the coolest imo
  8. I'm really fond of the side characters in Star Wars and are thinking of doing one for my next project. The question is which? Which is your favourite? I think Droopy McCool is mine right now
  9. Hey guys, I'm Viktor and I've been around here a while but only just now got my 501'st application approved, so here is TD5592 reporting in for duty. If anyone of you happen to pass by the southern parts of Sweden you're always welcome to drop by for a glass of jawa juice. Going to fix up the remaining flaws in the armor for deployment soon. My plan is to go for the cantina captain-version.
  10. If you need a drink or two when all is over I'll be happy to raise glasses with you in old Copenhagen. I go out there rather frequently. Stay strong in the meantime. Can't even begin to imagine how much energy a thing like this must drain from you.
  11. Sweet! Love bold architechture. Has there been any Star Wars related buildings like this built before? Love the idea. And how nice it is to see some TD's standing guard there in the pictures. You are of course so much better looking than the shiny TK's.
  12. What's best when applying the dye, should you first soak the pouch in water, or apply the dye directly on the dry canvas pouch? I understand the process will differ depending on what brand of dye you're using, but what's your general opinion and experience?
  13. I love these building threads. Looks great so far, and how ambitious to build two BFG's from scratch at the same time, alongside with the armour assembly!
  14. I can always give you a friendly push down in the mud next time we go trooping, if you decide to TD bro
  15. Great pics! Can't even begin to imagine how hot it must be in the suit in your climate, I think it is hot when I wear mine here in Sweden. But that is a true TD!
  16. Hey, no problem. We were just a bit tired and sweaty after our 5 hour troop down town, phew, my whole body hurt when I finally got the armour off I can tell you. Nice meeting you and some of the gang as well!
  17. Thanks guys! Taking the time to do a troop on the town really is worth it, I haven't seen that many happy faces in a long time. People ranging from 1 to 70 years of age really love Star Wars, it really is amazing. And I think we got a good amount of people out to the convention area where the Nordic Garrison had a booth. I'm not a member yet myself, but my application is in and I hope it will be approved soon. Hope to meet you Rolf at one of the events in our area! That would be very cool.
  18. Hi troopers! Handed out flyers for a Sci-Fi convention held in Malmoe, Sweden, where BILLY DEE WILLIAMS (Lando) and RICHARD BONEHILL (Nien Numb, amongst others) visited. I'm the dirty one in the pics
  19. LOVE your Garindan! Could you possible post more pics of that awesome costume? Haven't seen one before
  20. I just got the most marvelous image in my head of a guy walking around in TK boots at the zoo
  21. Hi troopers, Well I have this problem (feels like I'm going to the shrink now) I have rather long legs and feel a bit stupid with my short calf armour, especially the one on the left leg. Does anyone know of a solution? i have a SDS armour build, and I am 185 cm tall, which would equal 6.1 feet. Are there any longer calf armour pieces out there you think?
  22. Can't stop drooling over this bucket. State of the art work!
  23. The paintwork really brings it all together, I'm sure it will turn out great with some black paint and weathering on it!
