  1. Thank you. Think I should out in for clearance?
  2. All drunk doing the weathering!! Thanks for comments guys
  3. First try on of complete armour...maybe pre-clearance pics to see what you guys think? Sorry photos are not great but they were taken at night at home..will get some clearer ones soon. Have got to used to my TS I think and forgotten how uncomfortable this is to wear!! Need to adjust a few things..add foam in places...maybe change backpack straps as the shoulders don't seem to sit right with the ones I have. Also how do people keep the shoulder ammo pouch in position as mine kept slipping down? Anyways...please comment if you can as I'd love some feedback....know packpack not straight ..was just a quick try on for photo purposes and to get a feel for it.
  4. Cheers mate...anyone else have anything spare they don't need/want?
  5. Here you go Isaac...sorry not great but a little hectic today!!
  6. Ok..shall take some when I get home from work
  7. Thank you..so glad you like what I've done so far. For the pack I've used sand coloured acrylic lightly sponged in some places..plus watered down black on the blue parts to simulate oil or grease. Also brushed some parts. .where I thought sand may gather with a very watered down paint solution and quickly sprinkled actual sand onto it, then brushed away excess. The radio dial is brushed with silver to give a antique worn look. Can post more pics later if you like?
  8. Hi guys and gals.. Any ideas for me? Not sure where to get stuff from
  9. Thanks for the positive comments!!!! Sorry, I should have explained...the boots had only been painted white at that point and only stuck them on to see how they fitted with the lower legs. They were then weathered too you'll be glad to know!!
  10. Hi..thank you so much. His name is Ian Trebinski and his ID is TD19976.
  11. Hi guys... As I am not yet a cleared member of the MEPD (hoping that will be rectified soon) I have a request. I recently attended Celebratiuon in Anaheim and whilst there met a guy from the UK who has established an outposted in the Middle East. He has currently got a TD and think there are only two members at present but he asked if there was any way I could get him some MEPD merch as postage etc are very expensive plus he did'nt know if it was poss to get some in the first place. Could someone please point me in the right direction to maybe get him a hat, t-shirt , patches etc. Love the look of the pack received by new members who have cleared and was wondering if we could get this guy something similar? Any help appreciated and willing to pay for item,s obviously but any donations would be gratefully accepted as I know now that the postage will be pricey to send to the Middle East. Cheers Lee TS/TK2689
  12. Test fit and weathering.... I've noticed in alot of photo's that the weathering on a lot of our sandtroopers doesn't really show to much so have chosen to deliberately go quite dark and dirty. I know it is a personal choice but wanted to stand out from the TK's when out trooping with them as much as possible. [ur[/url]
  13. Having trouble uploading pics...sorry.
  14. Hi guys... Any comments appreciated. Wanted to start a thread here for extra feedback etc. My name is Lee Jones and I am a member of the UKG who has been building a new TD from scratch pretty much, for the last few months. My armour is from Dorset Trooper except the helmet which is Trooperbay. I have pouches and a T-21 made by Anthony Bailey and pauldron and other pouches from Jay Parsons. Backpack is a dirty boy one...I have incorporated a mp3 player and speaker for the mos eisley loop and added a custom cover on the radio dial. Building the actual armour was tricky and a great learning experience. Weathering has been fun but not quite finished yet as need to match bits up more accurately. My lid was built by the master Dave Harris who has been a great help with my build along with Smally and other members of the UKG. Please feel free to comment or any suggestions welcome. I can see from my pics that my thighs need to be a little higher to lessen the gap but this was only a initial text fit and I'm happy with everything else.
  15. Hello mate.. The lid is MTK and the armour is mostly Andy Rodgers stuff. The cracks are not because of the armour..more me trimming it up and ring cack handed as not something I've done before but learning from experience!
  16. Hi smally!! Completely understand that..overheads etc but my personal feeling is its a bit steep. Up to the individual tho I guess and it is nice looking armour. Also know someone who is intending on replacing parts of their TM already when they've only had it a couple of months due to cracking. Seems a common problem with modern armour but something you have to expect when achieving greater accuracy. Mine has cracks in and I've not finished building it yet lol!
  17. Would'nt buy either. RS is like tissue paper and know so many people that have sold theirs in the last few months as its just cracked after a couple of troops. TM is ridiculously priced. Over £1000 for what amounts to around £70's worth of plastic? If they gave something back to the legions charities it would'nt be so bad. My 2 pence. I'd find someone who produces armour more locally to where you are.
  18. I think you've misunderstood mate..sorry. its the dial and other detail DECALS that I'm after. Now have the dial but not the others..'on/off' etc. Any ideas?
  19. Trooper bay have the dial...any idea on the other ones? Cheers
