  3. TD 5716, Phil Weber, requesting upgrade to sandtrooper access. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=13256&costumeID=2 The link below has the photos being as that I just got approved so the picture is not in the profile yet. http://s993.photobucket.com/albums/af57/murdock0423/Sand%20trooper%20approval/
  4. Thats what I was afraid of, the cracking. Thanks for the ideas though. I was going to use a silicone type material that we use at work for tractor gaskets but I dont think it will sand down real well like bondo would have. Being hidden by my arms though and if im careful so it doesnt squeeze out too much from the cracks I think it might work. I did a test shot of gloss white krylon fusion paint and it actually matched the plastic perfect so after filling the seam hiding it with paint wont be a problem, The dirt should help too. Thanks for the info though guys. Thats one less mistake to correct now!
  5. I am currently fitting myself for my armor and even though im pretty skinny, I still need to shim my armor, AP kit for those that would like to know. I was hoping to get rid of the extra seams created by the shims so there is only one line per side like there should be. I have not used Bondo enough to know any real pros and cons to using it on armor but was seeing if any one could help me out that has used it alot. I would like to add shims to both the AB and kidney sections. Then fill in the seams with bondo and paint over it, kind of an extension to those parts, and then I can connect them at the new sections making it a true one seam per side armor. I would like to still open it up and not have one rigid piece like the clones do. My concern being though will the bondo just keep cracking, or being a small enough section, about 1 to 1.5 in addition per side, be just fine? Thanks for any input.
  6. The MRCE and ANH 2 are in red which is just for SWAT requirements, blue is deployed, and black is 501st approval. Same for TK accuracy levels from 501st to centurian.
  7. I didnt want to post this in the SWAT topic being as that I am not done with my TD and dont want to add topics where I am not headed yet though it is geared towards it. The Davin Felth helmet has four teeth cut out on the right and three on the left. Would it be acceptable to use a helmet with 7 instead of 8 teeth cut out if you do his setup for SWAT. I have a spare helmet that I was going to do for display after I get done with deployment but would like to do Davin's for SWAT down the road. If this topic needs to be moved then go ahead and sorry for the inconvenience.
  8. Hey guys, I was going through my collection of star wars stuff and found this. It was a game that I aquired while attending a comic convention. They were playing the COPS knock off Troopers and if you watched the video and gave your input then you got one of these. I just thought it was neat and wondering if anyone else has seen this before?

  10. I think you want TK4510's trooperbay site
  11. I actually have the second one in a box in my attic along with some TD's to go with it.
  12. Thanks for clearing that up for me. It took some digging but I found it on the site. They kind of buried that topic in there with all the links, but as always its cool to read up on all the information on that site while searching.
  13. That is pretty cool.... though it looks like they changed the brow trim, seems a bit low to me.
  14. The pouches looked too good to pass up for $60.00 so I grabbed one and will put a review when it comes in.
  15. Pandatrooper posted a build thread with blueprints to scale and lots of pics on how to make a lewis out of wood and pvc pipe in this same forum. Or are you looking for something else you do not have to scratch build?
  16. I know this site had some green new and used ones for the lower sling portion. Its called Northridge International Inc. http://northridgeinc.com/store/index.cfm/c218?CFID=291264&CFTOKEN=85446062
  17. I have a set of canvas MP40 pouches that I was going to weather some more. They were tan when I bought them so I hit them lightly with some black spray paint to give it a faded look but I was wondering what works best to give them a dirty look? Does paint, or hairspray with dirt work better or even just throw it on the ground in some dirt and kick them around a bit? I will have some pics of them loaded on photobucket soon being as that they are too big too show here. Any tips until then would be nice. I checked around the forums but only really find how to do armor or what type of pouch is acceptable so if I am overlooking a post a nudge in that direction is appreciated as well. Thanks. here is the link to my pouch album: http://s993.photobuc...ck0423/MP%2040/
