  1. I agree with whitecommando as far as making this an objective look / comparison. It would be great to have a thread that deals with the hyperfirm quality and delivery since I've definately had problems. With Lewis and Nathan essentially running everything now, I think it will work out great for a thread like this to exist. I get to be the first to bash Slavefive and Slave1pilot though...k? John
  2. LOL. Jeez whitecommando. Ouch... It seems like hyperfirm is in every cushman thread you have. If you are not careful, people will start ordering hyperfirm from you...LOL. You definately put alot of effort into peddling your cushmans around town. I personally have never seen one but the more I hear about them, the more interested I become. They sound great. Someday, I will buy one. Look, I definately deserve the bad PR regarding shipping. This is something I am remedying at this point. Slavefive is working really hard at squaring away the mess from the past. I supposed we'll let time heal that wound. I appreciate the help very much. I think that everyone should recognize that the upset should be with me and not with Lewis or Nathan. They both have done their best to fix the problems that spawned with me. They have both also ALWAYS shipped immediately and/or do not even sell unless guns are in hand. I'm not sure why you would attack the quality of our MG-34. I'm pretty sure the real MG-34 will just press fit back into the mold ours are cast from. As far as the painting of the rubber MG-34s, you don't need special paints unless spray paint and house paint have fallen into the "special" category. Seriously. All kidding aside. Regardless of price, I think we both have spectacular products for the price. I'm glad you have come around so that people who can't afford the rubber guns can get ahold of an MG-34 for a low cost solution. Hopefully, you will get past the differences we've had. I am flattered that you constantly compare your MG-34 to ours. I appreciate the praise. We worked hard to get the real MG-34 and mold it. The cushmans look great by-the-way! Keep up the good work.
  3. Okay. Pretty much ready to ship. Please contact me one more time via pm or email with address info so I can get this out of my hair.
  4. Just fyi.... I talked with Doug today....I'll be making him a blaster and shipping it to him. Crisis averted. Thanks for the heads up. Sincerely, John
  5. To lighten the mood a little...you guys have to check out this site. It's one of my favorite sites on the net.....Click on all of the options in the main menu. http://shaveeverywhere.com/
  6. Well....It's obvious that I don't visit the boards often. I don't really care to too much because of the nature of many of the members and them being overly sensitive. When there is a problem, regardless of whether I've sold it or someone else that I know, I end up having to deal with it. I am not responsible for others sales. As I have said before, contact Paypal regarding non-shipment and they will deal with the person who has sold the item.
  7. Wow....Michael. I guess I hit a nerve with that comment. Wanna fight?!? LOL. I'm kidding Michael. I love fighting but that's not what this is about. The assumption that Bill and I are the same guy is a poorly placed assumption....how's that? Better? We are not the same....Like I explained above. I don't know Michael but it would be good to meet you someday at an event. Maybe we can chat a bit. Being that there is not a perfect forum that reaches everyone who might, has or will buy a blaster, it is difficult to post a news bulliten that all future sales are through Slavefive or Slave1pilot only. Therefore, could I have stopped this sale or Michael's sale? I doubt it. If I don't know about it, how could I. I was lucky that Zac called me and informed me. Thanks again Zac. I was under the impression that all was well. We just finished a run of DC-15s, MG-34s, MG-42s, EE-3s and E-11s and it went off without a hickup. I heard about this sale yesterday night and posted as soon as I got home. Again, I am not involved in this sale but I will turn out an E-11 if need be and try to collect my cash from Bill. I've already made contact with Doug via PM. We will talk tomorrow and resolve this. Michael....get your blood pressure checked buddy.
  8. That's all well and good, and the products definitely speak for themselves, but if those chosen to rep the products drop the ball, none of that matters does it? This keeps coming up on these boards again and again despite assurances that it's being taken care of. I for one would love to one day purchase directly from John, but will never buy thru TeamPhippen, or whatever his name is now. To his credit, John always manages to set things straight, but often only hears about the problems when they reach code red. You need to keep in mind that everyone who sells hyperfirm blasters isn't necessarily a representative of Sci-fire. They may have gotten it from me to sell but that doesn't mean that I am asking them to be the point of contact for Sci-fire. They may have asked for a favor (ie. cash) and I obliged. At that point, they are individuals selling the blasters. You should ask them before purchasing whether or not it is from Sci-fire also. There are others that are not and are not made from hyperfirm but similar lesser materials. If you go to www.sci-fire.com and click on the contact button. The email still comes to me directly. I may forward it to Slavefive but I read every single one first. As of right now, the only people who are contacts for Sci-fire are myself, Slavefive and Slave1pilot. I appreciate the support and understanding.
  9. Michael, So I am to assume that everyone who sells from San Diego is the same guy also? That's plain narrow minded. The answer to this is "no" we are not the same. I allow people to sell hyperfirm that way they can make money. I often do it at a loss for myself to help friends etc. Many times, it has come back and bitten me in the A$$ but I've always offered to clean up the messes. Everything I sell has been and will continue to go through Slavefive on the CT.net board. There's not enough money in it to make a difference to me. I've offered to clean this up. I've left Bill a message but I will have to wait to hear from him to find out what happened. In Bill's defense, his feedback rating is phenominal on EBAY so I'm not sure what has happened but there may be a good explanation. Hang tight and I will find out.
  10. Yeah. I'm not sure what happened with Bill. Maybe something happened to shipment
  11. Curious...okay...I will call Bill tomorrow and see what's up. This is the first that I've heard of this sale. I will get back to you. Thanks for the call Zac. My apologies. I will take care of this if I have to go make an E-11 tomorrow myself. Give me a call. Pacific Time. PM sent. John
  12. LOL. Well not exactly what I had in mind but it'll do. FYI.... We've worked things out. We stayed and nearly caught up so we are golden in a day or two. Believe me, I can't wait. There are two brand new MG-34 v.2s on the bottom shelf. Those are for Luke. There were a couple minor issues with the originals for Luke. We didn't feel right sending them since he and his guys have waited so long. This was their state as of Saturday. New bipods, etc. Sorry for the delays...trying to make good.
  13. Feel free to beat me up a little. That's why I've been logging on.
  14. Once we get through this reorganization period, we will start making minimal pack kits. We will also do a full run but I think it would be best if JackBauer handled that run. To date, we've only built one complete pack.
  15. Long ago, in ... well JackBauer and I had been working on the MDK project. We killed the project for a few reasons but caught a huge amount of flak over ending it's life. Some of the reasons were: 1. EXTREMELY laborious project. There are so many silly parts to this kit. 2. The Man. The guy who makes a ton of the armor in the geek industry was well into his version which would have been nearly identical to ours. 3. Our current workload at our real jobs. Since then, the project is still laborious. The Man is no longer making or going to make the kit because it would have to sell for waaaay too much. Our current workload at our jobs is still the same but we are able to sub stuff out to professionals. This is not necessarily an interest thread for the full pack kit. JackBauer can deal with you on that front. This is more of a question of.... If we did a minimal parts kit, what parts would you need?
  16. Quite understandable. I'm not upset with what others are saying but more that they aren't having a good experience with us. It is VERY tough to keep schedules and such working the hours that we do but that's no excuse for not communicating or delivering when we said we would. We are restructuring and yet again.... We will be paying to have parts made to deliver to everyone quickly... In other words, I will not be the bottleneck any more. We are actually trying it out on this DC-15 thing we are doing right now. After only 2 weeks, we have made both masters, molded them and are already casting parts for shipment this Weds. That's fast. That's what we will be shooting for in the future. We will attempt to stock items after C4 in hopes to keep things moving quickly. There is talk about remolding the Lewis gun in the near future also. That's only a rumor since we took a bath on those.
  17. Hey Danny. I just wanted to apologize again for the way things turned out with the blaster. We've been struggling for a while to get things running smoothly and to be able to keep up with the demand. In the past, it's alway only been myself who made the blasters because it's not easy. Recently, we've subbed the production out to guys here at work to help move things. We don't make hardly anything on the guns but it appears that this will work out much better in the long run. Like I said in my email, please let me know if I can offer you something to ease the ill feelings that have come from this. Take care. John
  18. Here is the current state of my Marmit pack. I should be done with it by January 1st. I added the Blue and Red LEDS to the power cell unit.
  19. I've put the Marmit pack components up on EBAY. Take a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT [/img]
  20. The pauldron thread just took a dive because my pauldron looked too good. LOL. Anyway, what you did is a good idea.
  21. Good to have you aboard. Welcome to the pig pen commandos!
  22. That's awesome. Excellent work. I really like the updated look. Love to see pics when it's 100%
  23. Your armor looks awesome! Good job. TD-8034 out!
  24. I used a spray finish to get mine dirty. http://www.sci-fire.com/dirty_armor.htm TD-8034 out!
  25. It's dress up. We wear a costume that is similar to that used in a popular movie...that's all. It's fun to see how accurate your can be but it's more fun to do things the way George Lucas should have.
