  1. Most of the guys that make pack parts like the seed trays sell those. You just need to box, the tube and extra bits you can make yourself. Some guys have also been using electrical conduit boxes.
  2. Just to clarify, my old AM build thread on FISD was my TK (sold it to a garrison member). My Stop that Ship TD build on MEPD is an ATA HIPS kit. It's been sturdy and troops just fine, in fact I kind of abuse it and toss it in a box and have never had any cracks. The only crack was when someone knocked my helmet off a 5 foot tall shelf and the chin cracked at the thinnest part. Nothing some plastic weld and shim didn't fix. I can't recommend AM anymore to be honest, so much work to get them looking right. I would suggest ATA HIPS or ABS. The new AM (NE - No Excuses I think?) is still a little ways out, and I'm not 100% sure of the sizing (exactly how big it is). RT mod is a friend of mine too, great quality stuff. Just his real day job (pilot) keeps him busy, and his armor stuff is more of a hobby.
  3. I'd have to measure it, but those are easy finds in the plumbing dept. Mostly PVC parts and I think the ridged section is an underground sprinkler part.
  4. Wow, looking sharp!!! Great work! NIce to see the improvements! The back box still looks a bit sharp, will the transition be smoothed out? Also, does the helmet have any lineage or is it 3D scanned / milled or something? Looks great!

  8. Use plastic weld on the seam and glue a plastic shim behind it.
  9. Ive since upgraded mine to backpack straps cut from an old pack but I installed them the same as the ones I made here. Just wrapped around the top bar and rivetted shut. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=6942&st=0
  10. Liquid Rit dye worked perfect on mine. Slightly green tinged black.
  11. Simple - put suspenders on the belt.
  12. Yes, works great now. Thank you. I was trying to send the link to a TD in my garrison and they couldn't read the requirements. Thanks!
  13. I'm selling a medium spanish pouch here. Excellent condition. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=9446&hl=&fromsearch=1
  14. Hey guys, just a heads up. Not sure if this shows up on your browsers but the text is black on black in this thread. Hard to read the details required! http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7915
  15. I used Liquitex Basics in my weathering. You just need to mix the colors correctly if you want this look. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=7290
  16. That's awesome Rolf, very glad (and jealous!) you got to meet him! I'm always surprised what a positive attitude these actors have to our questions. To a lot of them, it was a great opportunity at a cool job. But here we are asking what color their shoe laces were 30+ years ago.
