  1. Feel sorry for those who watched it back in 78, etched in their minds forever more
  2. The Backpack really ended up straining my back...apart from the fact its actually pretty light But the rest of the armour was so well built that it went without a hitch and better than my first TK build. I could get more accurate parts for the backpack from the states, but dealing with what I had available I was pretty happy with the outcome
  3. OK ...I guess Im not getting approved with my backpack, but I'm still working it, but here a re some hot and sweaty pics from our troop at the Sydney Royal Easter Show over the weekend. This was my first troop as a Sandy. Enjoy PS, it was so hot we even had our Vader go down with de-hydration
  4. OKies so it is on the belt, Ill fix that one up then MANY THANKS~!!!

  7. Have painted my MG...all good to go, but my glue doesn't seem up to the job of keeping the t tracks and other little bits on What methods have people used on these resin kits? Thanks in advance
  8. This simple setup seems to work well Thanks for your help all and also I think I like the normal handplates, over the cheesegraters, what do you think? ;D
  9. Thanks all..I will go for a system going of my braces, which hold my "underwear" up...like Pandas
  10. Thanks all...tell me. do the bells drag down on the straps though?
  11. problem is Ive already done all the canvas straps, and I had to get someone to do it...I'm at the final stages of the build to the abdomen staps seems the best idea so far

  15. that was quick, yep I'll remove the bottom button I can do something about the FX helmet, for approval purposes but the FX fits my big head better for trooping oh heres something fun too, Im the TK
  16. Thanks all... nobody picked up the mistake yet? Will be fixing tonight as after 501st approval I'd really love MEPD approval
  17. Sorry about the crappy iPhone pics. So anyways, the armour is complete, still have to do the rigging, but all snaps are in place, so what better time, and weather (get it) to start weathering ;D The first pics are of the completed set, I decided to use the bucket that came with the kit. I pulled out the bubble lenses, which were never right anyway and painted the proper TD panels on. I then used the darkest burnt umber, a sponge and PLENTY of paper napkins, and set to work....that was Saturday covered. Yesterday I applied a lighter red/yellowish tinge...which was perfect. The darker colour does most of the work in my opinion...the rest is just subtle detailing. It's pretty much done, I'm just taking the bucket a little bit slower. So here it is 8)
  18. Stu here, or Indiana Citroen...or TK5552, in Sydney Australia. Have been working on my new kit since Xmas....and over half way there. I built a sandy helmet last year and looking forward to geting the new kit filthy soon too. I'll be lurking here so watch out for final stuff soon.
