Sweet shots Mike!
-
That was where I was going with this. We have definitely got to look into this.
-
No problem at all. The grey tubes on the bottom box that hook onto the top of the pump, plunger or bellows.
-
Welcome! You can PM me anytime.
-
What are you using for the vac tubes?
-
I could not agree with you more Mike. I have thought this many times. Take a look at the pitcher I just received from Ebay. I buy lots of them for the solar dish for my packs. I am hanging on to this one. It has not been painted that is the vintage color. You see how close in color my parts are to the pitcher. If the Tupperware theory is correct that would be very cool. The paint I use is Master Modelers Intermediate Blue.

Welcome back Luke. BB very cool. -
TM is this guy that recasted FX armor and claims he got it from GL himself. I AM JOKING! Seriously though he is not going to reply saying how good he is but I will. The guy does his own work and it is fantastic work at that. Just check out the photos of his armor.

"Is that Fx armor" Easy TM easy bro (holding him back) he was kidding.

What air filter is everybody using for the white-dial pack?
TD 8733 replied to nobody's topic in Field Backpack
True the actual screen used item has yet to be identified. Phil I assume you were asking about what guys are using to look like the filter. The screen shot Mike put up almost has a rubber look to it. That is just my opinion though. -

The filter is a above ground pool filter. They come in a variety of sizes. Here is a example http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=4722079 This is what it looks like on the pack I sell. To be more accurate cut it a bit shorter and use silicon to reattach it. That is what I did here. -
I am sitting here watching ANH in HD. One thing that jumped out at me right away is how beat up and dirty the TK's are. While they are not as dirty as Sandtroopers they are by no means polished and clean like so many TK's in the 501st take pride in being. I have not seen one clean suit yet. What I do see is lots of scratches, black smudges that look like grease and most of the boots are dirty. This is kinda funny.

Sweet bro! They feel great don't they. No english shoe repair
-
Thanks! and thank you AP and TE. Is it wrong to love 2 pieces of plastic?
-
Just wanted to share a few photos of my new display only TE with my trooping AP. I love my helmets, I really do.
-
I did the same thing guys. It was this bee stinger thread that got me to stop and look at the photos again. Then I knew I had seen that shape before. I picked mine up at -drum roll-Walmart! I saw Mike there. He was standing in the isle looking lost.
-
OK. Here it is. A heavy duty faucet cover found at any hardware store and then cut the top off any tube of caulk, silicon ect. I then added two screws for the stinger, rubberized ( you know me ) and paint. You attach with the stretch cord. You can hook it anywhere on the pack. Inside the boxes on a screw or tab or on the frame itself. Pull snug and let go. It will pull into place. Were you place it will totally affect the angle. You can do anything you want with the adjustment.

Calling all short AP stormtroopers....Calling all shorties..

Very very nice!!! -
I think the angle comes from the frame being bent which sets the main boxes at an angle. The screen pick I showed is definitely different from the first screen shot in this thread. The angle on the first pic is almost horizontal. I will put some photos up today of how I built this. I think you guys will be surprised when you see what I used. I think the shape is very close if not right on to the screen shape. It is something that is readily available, has been around forever even in the 70's and it is extremely cheap and light. An interesting thing to is that not only is it the right shape but when I placed it next to the pack the proportions just happened to be right.
-
This is what I had in mind.
-
I think the stinger is more of an oval shape. The previous photo shows a stinger that's mounted really off or is about to fall off. It looks like it's mounted at an angle but the other packs tend to show it mounted vertically. Take a look at this shot.

TD armor from the master-Update New pics on last post
TD 8733 replied to nobody's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
Please do not post those crap pictures here! That armor is disruptive. It is so freaking shiny and wicked that it makes me want to become a TK. &*^% you Trooper Master! Seriously the gloss on your armor is just gorgeous! -
Glad you like it guys. I was fooling around with CS and thought this would be something you would see posted up outside a cantina or in an alley in Mos Eisley. Some scum comes along thinking they have cover of darkness then their light hits this. John no problem at all. Thanks
