I pretty much have to work on them at night after hours and weekend nap times It has taken nearly a year to finish my TD and TB. The TB will finally be finished by June! Yeah, I have scrapped my others interests for armor. It can definitely own you. My wife has pretty much given up on me But she knows I love it and supports me anyway. That's a real trooper!
SWEET! Thanks Boss! This means a lot!
Big thanks to Terrell, Charlie, SF, MEPD & FISD!
I have already shortened my pack straps to make things even better.
See you guys on patrol!
Looks like I'm not the only one that's busy! My daughter is 15 months old, so she is my main hobby too In the late hours I am working on a MC TB (90% done), a TI - I have everything else ready to go except the DL kit (due in June), a Death Star Trooper helmet on order and a VT TK - I have only put together one of the helmets and the biceps. I'm going ESB and ANH Hero. I need to make 2 belts for the different movie holsters also. I had originally started the TB & TD at the same time along with the Crashmann pack! That almost drove me nuts....maybe I am nuts!
Armor does give you the fever!
From talking about poser TKs to search strategies on Tatooine! Man I love MEPD!
I hate pauldrons on TKs, TBs, ICs, Vaders, Tuskens, etc. I'm not crazy about clean TDs either.
Wow, there is some real depth to the names! I came up with mine around the time of Revenge of the Sith. I was heavy into the Hasbro figures and any Star Wars collectibles. I wanted to make a custom Star Wars figure of myself so I needed a Star Wars sounding name. Enter "Gesai Boklast". Boklast sounds even better alone so voila!
Hi fellow Carolinian! The "d ring" is an Enfield swivel. I believe you should look for "rear" or "buttstock" Enfield swivels. The sling is actually 2 Enfield slings put together. I would try Ebay or vintage military sites. Make sure the swivel is the same width as the slings. For painting it to look like metal, there are 2 options - 1) paint it silver then black and then scuff / sand areas to expose the silver underneath. 2) paint it black and then drybrush silver "wear" marks. If you search for 3" plasma discs, you should find plenty of sites offering them. I hope this helps! I'm sure some of the seasoned pros here can shed even more light on the subject matter
I like the white too. Yeah, those straps have too much stretch. I am going to switch them out with some heavier duty waistband elastic and shorten them. Thanks for the compliments!
Hi Guys, Thanks soooo much for the compliments! It means a lot coming from you all!
The Hovi references I used were all ANH stunt TKs and the Stop that Ship from Jez's site. I did notice too that some had black interiors and some unpainted or white.
I'll paint them ASAP if needed.

Since you have a couple types in mind then you should read some of the threads in this forum and check out FISD (whitearmor.net) forums for tons of info about the names you mentioned. All the info you need is found within. Read up before you try to move to the next step because you might find something else works better for you. Good luck
Hi All,
My armor fever has brought me to the mighty MEPD! I am going for an ATA TD and a Crashman kit. I haven't decided on a helmet yet. I have an AP I use for display but my head doesn't fit throught the opening (I'm 6'4")! I might trim it just enough to fit. Who knows...
As far as a BFG, I'm thinking DLT or MG-15.
I look forward to your knowledge and guidance. My plan is to be deployed within days of earning my TD number!
Talk to you all soon!
Jason
