  1. I was looking at the backpack gallery and noticed the beestinger is attached by a u shaped bracket connected on the sides. You can see it clear on the air filter pack and the Move Along pack.On the air filter pack you can even see it must be able to swivel.I also think the beestinger is a bit oval and not round, not positive.Anybody have any more pictures or know any place I can find more pictures of the air filtr pack.
  2. I just bent my BS frame today. It gave me more trouble then I thought it would.I used a electricians conduit bender. The problem I was haveing was it would'nt bend in the place I wanted to.There is a hole drilled in the side that has a nail looking thing in it,I remove the nail thing and it would bend at the spot with the hole.So I put the shaft part of the nail back in the hole without the head part on it,carefully heated up the area I wanted to bend with a torch. It's not perfect but looks ok.Take your time.
  3. Hey Guns, really glad to hear that you and your family are safe.
  4. Hey Jack,That looks really good. Can't wait to see it when it's done.
  5. My advice when building armor is when your building each piece look at as many screen caps as you can for each piece as you build each piece. The only way to get screen accurate is to copy what was in the movie.Brak's ref cd is a excellent scoure for screen caps.
  6. I believe the first one he owned was the one he made the cast from and the second was the set for stun helmet.

  9. I thought some of the helmets in the picture at AA's studio had the 5'th tooth cut out?So it would be accurate to cut it if you wanted.I have TE2 #3,Thanks Guns.
  10. I'll cut the stitching, move it over ,and sew it back on.Brak's sandtrooper reference cd(a must have if you don't already) has some good pictures of some orginal pouches.I'll look at those for correct placement.
  11. I bought a set from IMA-USA and I like them.I still have to move the small pouch and dye them.
  12. Great tutorial, looks pretty good. But if you want the real deal try searching ebay under spanish pouch.I found a few there and paid about $10.00 apiece for them. How is everybody attaching them to the belt, they look like they hang below the belt?
  13. The shoulder bells are from a ROTJ suit which are different then ANH bells, they are more pinched,I think?
  14. I seen a bakelite stock with the metal tip pieces like in your middle photo on ebay.I think it sold for over $300.00.
  15. If you look at the sandtroopers in ANH most of the troopers right bells hang even lower than yours. Nice work on your armor.
  16. Anyone ever try a electricians conduit bender.I would think that could bend the angle in the boy scout pack.I was going to try to make the whole frame from conduit. What diameter pipe should I use.
  17. There was a post on the RPF from Cheng stateing the seller on Ebay was not him and never gave permission to use his name.I don't think he uses the Cheng name any more.
  18. Thanks to you all, looks like E6000 it is.
  19. Whats the best stuff to use to attach the elastic straps to styrene armor.i used hot glue but it doesn't hold to well.anybody know what they used on the original armor.thanks for any info.
  20. I used tin snips(offset) to rough trim, then the dremel with a sanding drum and final with a fine grain hand sanding on my Gino armor.worked great.Anybody have any idea how they trimed original ANH suits?
  21. Iwas told they are spanish, from the spanish civil war period?I would guess they carried ammo.
  22. Happy Memorial Day to all of you veterans and a big thank you to you all.
  23. the first thing i thought when i seen the picture of the helmet by clutch is that it looked like a meatsock.the way the teeth are cut out and it looks like a semi-bumpy cap/back,but i could be wrong.
  24. hey matt,i seen the hamburger press a little while back when i was looking for the tupperware dessert dish for my pack, but the more i looked at screen grabs i changed my mind.i couldn;t find the extra indent on the side of each one that is from the female groove on the bottom in any screen grab.what do you think.anyone have any good screen grabs of this part. dave
  25. i noticed a faint black circle on the orange part of the move along trooper up towards his helmet.anyone know what this could be.i have seen it on another orange pauldron, maybe it was the same pauldron used by another trooper.
