hang tight troops! gonna try n get some pics up this weekend of my build so far. the calves, forearms and biceps are together. 1 thigh is together..mostly, and everything else is trimmed out. Ive attached the butt plate to the kidney plate as well. Ive also started adding my snaps for the strapping system, which is a little different, more on that once i post up the pics! Thank you Gentlemen! I heard that it was actually elastic also but wasnt sure if it was ever really confirmed. The elastic has worked fine for me for 2yrs on my TK so im going to do the same for the TD, except using the white elastic, and of course no plastic straps on top. Thanks again guys! Im going to try and get some pics of my progress up in my build thread soon. Ive been working on it here n there and havent had the time to stop and take pics,so im going to describe how i did all the strapping and accompany that with some pics.

Hey all..as you may know, im building a set of TE2 armor as my first TD. On my TK, i have the chest and back bridged underneath with 1.5" black elastic and attached with snaps so when all my other strapping is in place,the elastic keeps everything nice n snug, but still has a little give to it. My question is, since the Sandys have canvas straps, which would be underneith, can i use the same method but with white elastic? Or will that not allow me to get deployed status...cuz im building with getting deployed in mind. I have a set of canvas straps, and i guess i could have it so i can switch them out for either or, but if i could just use the elastic and still get deployed,id like to do that. Thanks troopers!

Got some trimming done the last couple of days. Buuuut...I wont bore you with pics of me with goggles and a dremel though lol. Once they are all trimmed, ill get some more pics up, and document my strapping system. It will be mostly the same as my AP set up, with some improvements ive learned from trooping the AP for a while. =)

I havent tried this yet, but i was going to have the canvas straps snap in place on the chest and back armor and then just have a snap on the bottom of the canvas strap to attach the elastic strap attached to the shoulder bell. you follow? lol On my TK i have elastic holding the chest/back together with snaps and i have the shoulder bell elastic looped around it and secured with a snap.

Yup, that site has been a staple site for a while now. Jez (the sites owner) is actually active on alot of the detachment forums as well. Great site with lots of great info!

@ Nol..Heh yea, i like my TK..its an AP kit...i think im going to replace the helmet with a TE2 though ......oh and im building the TD for deployment!

Yea man..i ALWAYS wanted a TD! I love my TK, TB and Fett, but this will be one of my Faves for sure when im done with it! heres a couple of teaser pics.. Thats what i was looking for Dirty boy! The 8X6X3 box. Im doing the Move along pack which has the larger box. i have a stow n go, but its to small for that pack style. thanks Dirty boy! Ok.. anyone know if the move along pack has the dial decal? Any reference i can find of this particular pack i cant seem to tell if its there.

WHOA!! That suit looks amazing! Id love to have a TM suit...but the shipping would kill me being here in the states. So for my Sandy build i got the best set here in the states, TE2! I may pick up a TM bucket eventually though heh.
