  1. I sold my Td to fund this project. The black gun in the picture actually spins. The better looking versions do not.
  2. That's why these guys looked so good at the con. My suit is one the far left, It's since been sold, but my friend wearing it is at least 6-3. When Ben and Jeff were walking around together it looked great. You got your dime-a-dozen 5-8" FX TK walking around, then you got two "monsters", well over 6-00" tall in TD gear walking by, playing a syncronized TD loop from their packs. It was Bad!
  3. I think you could go a lot dirtier especially in all the cracks and seams. Pile it on, you can alway wipe it off to your liking.
  4. I think so. Nothing special, easy to make, we had a chewie that year to put them on.
  5. I made a pair for SDCC 08', but based them off the very simple looking gold colored version that Luke put on Chewie. I rolled some aluminum flat stock, hinged them and gave them a magnet closure.
  6. That's stupid, when was the last time anyone was hurt with a Star Wars laser gun?
  7. Don't want to hijack your thread, but here's a little info:[ WOW, I didn't know you were in Central Ca. I guess you're up in Butte Co., I'm down in Merced Co. TD armor shoule be no where near $5000. I built my entire suit for about $2000 with a Hyperfimg DLT-19 and a Sci-Fire field pack. As of now I'm selling everything except the gun and Pack. Armor ( It was sold to me as GF, but everyone says it's AP, I have no idea). Helmet with comms/ Stomper spkr aerators, white pauldron, CA boots 12/13, Sci-Fire accurate Ammo pouches. I have underarmor 2 piece suit in XL. Here's a few pics. It will look better on a bigger person. 5-10"- 6-3" weight depending on weight. I wore it at 6-00 235 lbs, my friend wears it at 6-3" 205 lbs. I'm the deployed picture. My friend Jeff is wearing it in the rest of the pictures. Bountyone is the other TD. I'm the Vader/ Jango. My suit is the white pauldron, except the pic with the long spear, it's the suit with the orange pauldron that day. Ben is in the picture, he is not selling his suit. I guess folks got concerned when I posted pics on the boards. That's our little trooping group for conventions. Nothing better than to see 2 huge TD's walking around using the MEPD loop. I wanted $1000 + shipping, (if there is any) I posted on the main 501st boards, so I didnt bother to post it here.
  8. What's your price range? I have my deployed armor for sale now. No fieldpack or gun though.
  9. i measured my hyperfirm. Looks like 1 1/2", definitley not 1 1/4".
  10. mine wouldn't even show on the scale. My guess is maybe 5 lbs. It's very light.
  11. I only have a white pauldron with MG 34. Bountyone has an orange pauldron and will carry an e-11
  12. This was our trooping group at wondercon. Ben in his TD, my friend Jeff in mine, and me in my Jango. 1:54 into the video http://www.geekentertainment.tv/2009/03/09...wondercon-2009/
  13. The airbrush tends to give a fake look in my opinion. TD1536 has a nice weathering tutorial using hairspray and fullers earth on youtube. Search for clonetrooper weathering. Even if you dont use the method, it's good knowledge base.
  14. cheap afros from a halloween store.
  15. Any Megadeath fans out there?? Ben needed some saving.
  16. CONT>>>>>>> This is the slave Leia from the other photos. She loved the dirty troopers.
  17. Just got back from Wondercon in San Francisco, Ca. WHAT A BLAST!! Ben (Bountyone) and my friend Jeff played the part well. Both are well over 6 feet tall and quite imposing. I'm the little guy at 6 ft tall. What a site to see 2 bad looking TD's crusing around, playing the MP3 loop through the field packs. a few times some stormtroopers stood next to them and the size difference was huge. Both suits are MEPD deployed. My friend wears my suit so I can wear my Jango and Vader. Ben presented Anthony Forrest with his MEPD "move along trooper" shirt at the 501st dinner. If you've never met this guy, you've missed out. He's a blast to be around, and really seem s to enjoy the fans. I'm the little guy, and I'm 6 Ft tall. The guys and Anthony Forrest at the 501st dinner Ben and our new buddy. This was her first convention. Of course we showed her around. Darren and I Jeff and I
  18. I ride a BMW 1200 RT-P and write tickets all day.
  19. Holy crap!! That's me (Jango). The clean TK to my right is the AP suit I converted to my current Td. My friend Jeff wears my stormtrooper suits so I can wear my Jango. He will also be wearing my TD at SDCC, if we get to go. I see Ben's Boba thong. I take all 3 of suits, but with the TD and the field pack we'll be limited on space in my friend's plane. We might be only able to take 2 suits; the TD and my EpIII vader or the TD and my Jango.
  20. I just heard about this. Good thing I know of at least 2 deployed sandies that will be there, (me and bountyone). We will also be sportin the sandie mp3 loop. This event is in San Francisco at the end of Feb. I went last year for the first time. This event grows every year. Looks likes great list. The same two sandies will also be doing line control for the Mark Hamill signing. Here's the list: As a fyi, Comic-con International has listed the following Star Wars talent on their website for Wondercon. Daniel Logan C. Andrew Nelson Anthony Forrest Ray Park Mark Hamill Carrie Fisher Don Bies
  21. Actually, I just got email notification sometime about a week ago about them shipping. I was trying to figure out what I had ordered, then I saw the mp40 note. I got mine in Ca. probably 4-5 days ago.
  22. SUITED UP: BUCKET OFF: MY REAL LIFE, AT WORK:(not the wierd crankster with the stroller)
  23. There's a file floating around in a thread here. Random radio chatter, beeps, and things like that. I play it with a shuffle through an RS amp mounted in my radio.
  24. Looks like someone on So. Cal got Ben's Chewie suit?
