  1. That comparison is amazing and shocking! I know that the fan-done restorations are better than Blu-Ray... this just proves it... again...
  2. Carefully! Seriously, just gotta reference it. Even sharp pulls of buckets have barely that 4th tooth.
  3. Boots and hand plates painted... and painted "badly" as to look like original screen used boots.
  4. Did you reverse them? I'm so confused how this could happen. Sorry... that's no help... but that's all I got.
  5. I'm actually NOT going to do the notch on the kidney because, as you said, it's not seen and thus it doesn't "add" to the look of the completed armor. Plus it causes issues lining up with the butt-plate on the ATA.
  6. Armor building tip: use one of the ears from the helmet to mark the curved line to cut on the ammo belt that attaches to the bottom of the right thigh.
  7. Yes... I've done it a "few" times at least... haha You'll get faster.
  8. I love it when the strapping is done to a point you can put the armor all together and hang it. Only a few more finishing touches before I'm ready to weather the armor... sand that is... Tatooine... Dewback patrols.
  9. Thanks man! And I think ATA is the best choice because of his quality of plastic, price, accuracy (especially his bumpy cap bucket!), but many people disagree with me. And if you ask me for a different criteria I'd have a different answer. hahaha Regardless, thanks! And WELCOME!
  10. Welcome man!! Follow Sandman Tigui's steps and, in addition to his #1, you can check out my Armor 101 page as well. Have fun! And YAY!
  11. Thanks! I also modded the top of the left thigh to have the "notch". I simply cut out the notch, then "curved" the new return edge using the craft iron.
  12. Awesome! I've not seen an AP build in a while. That's some good armor!! Congrats and get going!
  13. I've got Troopermaster's kit with the screws and such for outward appearance — even though you never see those on the "Stop that Ship" I'm adding them... just like the other details on the ab plate aren't seen but I added.
  14. Okay brothers... I've gotten a lot done — next part is strapping and then weathering. Here are a few update pics. All my armor trimmed. Making the "groove" in the long rectangle on the ab plate. Making the "circle" on the big ab plate square. Finishing strips glued, clamped and drying.
  15. I'm late... but I hope you all had a great Easter!
  16. Looks good... but I think it's a bit much. Looks a bit "mud smeared" in a few places — under the eyes and that place above the VOX. Just work it down and layer it back up. The rest is beautiful! That's my 2¢
  17. Looking great my man! I LOVE the weathering! Just enough, not too much, spot on perfection! Very cool! Man, that's a good looking dirty boy!
  18. Yep. Just fill 'em up with whatever you want. I used cardboard wrapped in black tape. Then I swapped that out to black painted wood.
  19. Excellent going so far my brother!!! You're ahead of me again. hahaha
  20. Yeah, Smally's right... anything can go SWAT if you take the time. Get deployed as an officer first! I will say that I'd swap out the 3 ab buttons on the ab plate... they look a bit "too big". That's my one tip so far.
  21. That just replaced the photo in the dictionary next to "Bad ***".
