it may cause of my lack of english but i don´t get the attachment of the shoulder bells to back/chest plate and with this the connection between shoulder bells and biceps parts...

unless you want to save some money (the AP is cheaper than the TE2) i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the TE2! the details are striking!
i would definatly save some more money and get me another TE2!
i love the idea of having a soundsystem in the backpack although i think it might be quite heavy while trooping! but i can imagine the imperial theme might be impressiv while in armor...
just take the black rubber part off and cut the plastic part beneath the rubber away! do it in small steps! and testfit it over and over again with the rubber part untill it looks like you want it to look!
you might try chris´s technique with tempera/craft paint, take a look at his website under "Sandtrooper Conversion".
