  1. Also take a look at WW2 german MP44 pouches... I found this ages ago, unfortunatly all pictures are gone... **** Photobucket! http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/5504-is-that-a-mp44-canvas-hip-pouch/
  2. Capacitors for a perfect price... please show some more pictures! Is the top slightly rounded? What size are these?
  3. Nice find, paint them up and if the are the correct size and shape do a small run and put me first on list...
  4. That's what i gonna do also but haven't found a cheap frame with the correct. straps yet... Thanks anyway, was worth the try...
  5. Sorry to hear you bought the wrong frame.... I bought the correct frame but the wrong colored backstraps, so if you are willing to sell me your red kidney and upper back straps, please PM me! It might help to recoup some money...
  6. Ross is the guy to ask, i provided reference pictures for his plate, most other vendors are far from accurate. Mostly they only use standard TK detonator plates which are completely off, have a close look before you buy!
  7. ****, that is beyond beautiful, bro! When can i send you my rubber Sci-Fire MG-15 do such a paintjob???
  8. BEAUTIFUL! Simply beautiful, my friend! I already wondered where you've been lately... now i know! Still a true master of screenaccuracy! The weathering looks spot on!
  9. ME TOO! I've done my previous trimming with Lexar scissors and a Dremel but that looks just too easy... I thought of that at some point too but was always worried it would melt the plastic by producing too much heat while sanding! Great info, thanks for that!
  10. Getting closer, my friend! You're doing a great job!
  11. So i need to write. abc123.jpgoriginal or abc123.jpg~original in the links i use n a post here?
  12. Well, i gonna chase you screaming "There is a cm missing! You're not worthy calling yourself screenaccurate!".
  13. Wow, Vincent, i already knew you have a real dedication to details and most accurate parts on your pack but that sets a new standard, bro! I can only applaud such amazing detective work! (Of course my applause is for your XO too!) As some of you know i've been here on the MEPD bunch almost from the start over decade ago. Back then we only imagined that we could have such details and original parts finds like we had in this past months/year! People like Strider and you (and many other, you guys know who you are) raise the level of accuracy for all of us!
  14. I'd say keep the red canvas... SCREENACCURATE, mate! . At least for one backpack, no reference to show it on all packsas far as i know!
  15. Amazing build, you know i follow with great interest, bro! Only one thing, why in Gods name, are all of you guys using these ultrahighpriced hair shampoos for your bp bottles??? Striders is also that exspensive... Ok, ok, i'm almost baldheaded, i really don't have a feeling for such hair grooming products.... LOL
  16. Where the **** did you find a vintage syphon??? I'm still looking... and yes, i'm envy! Great find!
  17. Yep, great guy too! Ask him for the detonator plate too, i worked with him on those. Most accurate detonator plate available at the moment afaik, don't know of anyone producing the correct 7-ribbed version. If you're going for accuracy don't use the detonator plate coming with your armor!
  18. While i still grieve for Photobucket since i used it as my preferred photohoster ever since, i am on the hunt for a good new hoster too. I recently use Imgur like most others that formerly used Photobucket. It is the preferred hoster on Reddit so i felt like it should be ok. I personally don't like the App while using my Ipad and it works different to what we are used to from Photobucket but nevertheless it does what it is meant for. Keep us informed since i'm not completely sold on Imgur!
  19. So sorry that happened to you, i feel with you....
  20. Looks like a real run, great scores! I have the very same Gio canteen from etsy too! But since you got all this great vintage pieces, please get yourself a Karrimor frame! They pop up on Evilbay for cheap every once in a while!
  21. Looking good, bro! Willkommen auf der dreckigen Seite des Universums! (Btw. I just checked your image hoster since Photobucket is going crazy! Can you recommend postimg.org?)
  22. That's my precisely what i think, Paul! There is no point in building a SE Trooper while not using ROTJ armor and helmet! The armor/helmet makes more than half of the complete costume. It's not just a minor greeblie we're talking about but the major part of the full character. To archive the look of the original SE Sandtrooper there is no way without ROTJ armor and helmet which actually MAKES the SE TD's or at least half of it! Everything else wouldn't be near to accurate. While i often don't get the rules or policies of the 501st isn't accurate looking characters the main goal? So no SE TD's without ROTJ armor and helmet, that simple, imho!
  23. Btw. The detonator plate used for the TK detonators is completely different to the ones used on the TD backpacks! Different shape, different proportions, different ribs... TD backpack example: TK detonator example: If you need a TD accurate plate contact MEPD member ross8008 , i provided some reference pictures so he could update his mould for a more/most accurate TD plate! (great guy, btw!)
