  1. It was a quiet evening in the workshop. WoodChuck found himself alone, working on a sniper rifle and also checking on the recharge progress of two proton energy packs. Three ARC troopers were outside in the LZ waiting for their droids to finish loading the cargo they "procured" from a nearby bounty hunter's hideout. "We found a lot of junk scattered all over the swamp", WoodChuck heard one of the troopers say. "No life forms anywhere, not even in the murky water. My scanner did ping on a large mass just under the surface, so I had LG-543 snag it and bring it along. It may belong to the bounty hunter we are looking for." The little droid looked almost comical as it struggled to move the water logged pile of debris. "BEEP, SNORK, SNORK, BEEP" could be heard as the droid slowly moved toward the cargo bin on the spaceship, dragging, pushing and pulling at the junk it was assigned to load. Just then, there was a loud explosion that rocked the spaceship. "What The"......One of the ARC troopers started to say, but he was blown off his feet by the force of the blast. The FIRE DETOX system put out the blaze, and when the smoke cleared, the crew discovered one of the old energy packs they found was unstable and exploded. "Typical of a bounty hunter, the crew chief stated, "Using old stuff and then letting it behind so we would find it." "Hey, Droid , Stop! We don't need anything else blowing up in the ship, drop that junk and climb aboard." The ARC trooper in charge motioned to the droid and it pushed the metal object off of the loading ramp. Soon the ship was long gone, leaving only a slight depression on the surface. Woodchuck decided to inspect the item left behind because, according to his scanning equipment, it may be a very valuable find. The following text scanned across the screen: Location: Dagobah.............Item Mass: Unknown, Energy shield prevents interior scan.......... WoodChuck raised a large piece of seaweed and found a panel that read: Chair, Hover Calibrated by: YODA (To Be continued)
  2. I live an hour and a half north, so I'll be going as a WoodChuck, LOL
  3. Woodchuck here. I live a two hour drive from Downtown Disney. If there are enough troopers interested, I'll make a run over there. Disney just released three new Disney Racer cars, two of which are bounty hunters. They cost $6.25 including the FL sales tax. Shipping depends on your zip code.
  4. Woodchuck here. I was working in my shop that is hidden on the planet with two moons in a far and distant galaxy when a big spaceship landed outside. In walks Captain Kirk himself. Seems he needs his phaser fixed. What should I tell him??
  5. WoodChuck here. I have just been approved as a member of the 501st Legion. My Id number is IS 6029 which is an AT-ST driver. I want to thank Quartermaster of The Empire City Garrison for the awesome job he did on the helmet for this costume, PLUS all the armor he did for the AT-AT commander, which is my next costume. I also want to thank Tradeliphine, SL of Makaze Squad, for his excellent advice and help with the tailoring of my jump suit and for taking the approval photos, and for hosting an AWESOME armor party last Saturday. Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and support during this entire process. Chuck
  6. Somewhere , on a far and distant planet, hidden within the shadows of two moons lies a small workshop. Known to the locals as "The Hole-In-The-Wall", the shops owner, WoodChuck, supplies the galaxy with all forms of weaponry. The weather on this planet can be brutal. It has it all, from beautiful sun shiny days, to violent sand and wind storms that occur without warning. it was during one such storm that Woodchuck found a giant red oak tree had been up rooted and tossed across the landscape like a match stick. The downed red oak tree was blocking the landing site for visiting spaceships, so it had to be removed. Several Jedi have stopped by the shop to have their light sabers serviced or repaired. WoodChuck picked up one, and began slicing the tree into more manageable pieces. Here are a couple of photos of what he found inside the tree, more to follow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  7. Woodchuck here. Baby taun taun finds a home...............
  8. WoodChuck here. a trooper down under in Australia asked me to make this Stun shaft for him. It's hefty, measures 44 inches long, and just looks like it means business. http://archive.propworx.com/1010/Week_32/3104
  9. Woodchuck here. I just had a trooper ask me to build this Mara Jade blaster for his wife as a Christmas present:
  10. WoodChuck here. I need to add some red and green paint, some silver bells, maybe a little garland. Merry Christmass to everyone:
  11. WoodChuck here . A trooper has asked me to build one of these medium blasters from Hoth, but this is the only photo I can find of it anywhere. Does anyone have a link to photos that are high-res, with a lot of detail? Thaanks for your help. Chuck
  12. Woodchuck here. Thanks for all the compliments about the tauntaun rocker. Think there would be any interest in adult-sized tauntaun heads as stick horses? I think it would be a hoot to see a squadron on snow patrol clomping thru the halls at CVI on my tauntaun stick horses, LOL.
  13. The Saga continues................. In a far and distant galaxy, there is a planet with two moons. On this planet there is a small workshop, called "The Hole in the wall". WoodChuck owns this establishment. The exact location is hidden by the shadow of one of the two moons. All life forms, even droids are welcome here. Two super battle droids and a full body/mind scanner protect the shop from any wrong doing. It is known throughout the galaxy that this is the place to come for quality products offered at a fair price. However, today the shop is closed. It's owner has departed on a long journey.............. Recently, WoodChuck had to travel all the way to Hoth to deliver a run of clone long rifle blasters. He arrived during a huge white-out, a condition caused by intense blowing snow which renders all direction finders, even GPS, useless. "It's like flying into a giant sponge," one traveler said just before flying into the side of a large elevated land mass. WoodChuck had been here before. He knew about where his destination should be, so he set his ship down as slowly as possible. Just before touchdown, he saw a faint glimmer of light, and knew he was on course. It was the beacon placed above the power station. Dressed for the extreme cold, he opened the pressure chamber door, and instantly felt the frigid night air blast against him. The snow seemed packed enough to walk on, so he began to make his way to the power station. Then he heard a sound that stopped him in his tracks. It was a cross between a whimper and a shrill moan. WoodChuck stood motionless, his hand on his blaster. Squinting into the night, he saw a shadow just ahead. It screamed again, louder then before. As WoodChuck approached, blaster at the ready, he saw the biggest taun taun he had ever seen. It was slumped over on it's side, it's breathing was labored. There were no signs of this one being domesticated and trained as a ride for the snow patrols. This one was wild. It was also a female, and she looked up as he approached her. But then a strange thing happened. Instead of charging, she just nudged a small lump of snow toward the intruder. Then she fell silent. Woodchuck looked down and saw that the snow ball was moving. Then he realized that it was a baby taun taun, as it's tail began whipping in all directions. He took off his outer parka and covered the baby creature. Without the warmth of it's mothers embrace, the baby would freeze within minutes. Once inside the power station, WoodChuck examined the parka's contents. The baby looked healthy. It's eyes were big and clear, and it had a nice sized set of horns already starting to sprout from the sides of it's skull. Each hind leg only had three toes, instead of four. Then he realized that taun tauns must grow the forth toe like a dewclaw, as they age. "You're Coming home with me. I have a little toddler that will give you all the love and attention you are going to need," Woodchuck whispered as he made his way back to his ship to tuck the baby creature safely aboard while he completed his mission.................Here's a photo:
  14. Woodchuck here. FANTASTIC Paint Job. AMAZING paint job. AWESOME paint job, OMG paint job. Seriously, you do great work, thanks for sharing.
  15. Woodchuck here. I am always amazed at how much talent troopers display with their finishing techniques. Great job on this one.
  16. Woodchuck here. In the video I said 800 rounds a second, but I meant 800 rounds a minute, LOL.
  17. Woodchuck here. I have had two troopers ask me to build left-handed versions of blasters. Not the T-21, but they still came out OK. If you look close some blasters have the ammo clip on the right side of the receiver. The clone DC-15 shorty blaster and the long rifle, for example. To me a left-handed person would find that easier to use, so i don't think it should matter. When you are trooping and posing for photos, the casual observer isn't going to notice it anyway.
  18. You gots some buildin'skills. Nice job.
  19. Woodchuck here. i don't know if he's told you folks, but trooper Zon on here and his lovely wife, Melissa, just became parents of a lovely baby girl named Daya Mae. Well. six weeks ago she was born. I took my wife, daughter and son-in-law over to meet the little tyke today. As luck would have it, she was sleeping and was not taking audiences. I could see she is a cutey, fortunately taking after her mom. Zon told us she has the routine down already. Eat Sleep Poop. So anyway, send out some congrats to Pappa Zon.
  20. Woodchuck here. I posted a video here but a lot of you wanted to see a better photo of the Easter egg. I can cut any name in hieroglyphics in the horizontal bar above their heads. Make it an Easter egg within and Easter egg, LOL.
