  1. Just my opinion, but carrying and/or concealing real weapons is inviting trouble.
  2. After measuring a friends brow trim on his TE2 bucket, I found it was 5/8" high and was a rubber "U channel". like this: http://minorrubber.thomasnet.com/item/u ... ?&seo=110# does that look right? you would have to trim one edge down a bit to get that "wedge" shape.
  3. Anybody know where to get something for the canvas strap for the lewis gun?
  4. I just wanted to get people's insight to this, I originally cut my FX leg pieces too small so I bought replacement pieces for the thigh and shins. Is it just me, or are the pieces cut too small to begin with? I am trying to show only enough black around the top of the thigh and where the shin and thigh meet to allow fluid movement. I am 5'9" (little short for a stormtrooper joke, right?) and the gap from shin to thigh on the back of the knee is at least 5". And that is without trimming them! I noticed I could lift the shin pieces another 2" and still move comfortably, but they are not tall enough! Anybody else come across this?
  5. ...so nobody knows the exact trim used in the movie helmet? or where to get it or something similar? It looks like the botom part of the trim is thicker than the top. Almost wedge shaped...
  6. Obviously the brow trim is gettable. Anyone know where?
  7. Anybody have any idea what kind of brow trim this is ? It does look authentic.. QQcmdZViewItem">http://cgi.ebay.com/Stormtrooper-Armor- ... dZViewItem
  8. I think some "Elitists" loose sight of the whole purpose for belonging to this group, fun. I can't believe some have talked about not allowing the FX owners membership. I have yet to have a child approach me and say that armor isn't exactly like the movie. Fact is, they can't tell. If we want to invest in the more accurate armor fine, but keep your mind atuned to the true purpose and don't be getting all high and mighty. It would be nice to be able to be exactly like the movie, but the fact is not everyone has the money, time, or ability to do it. Lets not create a "Buzz kill" for those like me who are of necessity going with the FX.
  9. when I said total I meant with shipping (minus the helmet as I already have one) and am pricing it without the helmet.
  10. Sorry to be redundant, if all I need is armor (I have a stunt helmet). What is the bottom line plus shipping for TE2 or AP? and where do I find it? If what I was told is true, FX armor can be had for $410 total. AP $800+. Is this true?
  11. I think it is double...at least that is what I heard..
  12. While an FX may fit you okay, some parts you'll be swimming in. An AuthenticProps or TE2 would fit you like a glove. Trust me. You have the perfect weight and height to emulate the original ANH Stormtroopers. but not the perfect pocketbook.
  13. Also...I have a stunt helmet that is unfinished. It is fiberglass and I have the lenses and screen for the frown, but need the stickers, does anyone know where to get stunt helmet stickers?
  14. 5' 9" 165lbs. II am not able to spend a whole lot or I would go for something a bit more accurate, but FX would do fine for now...
  15. Can someone PM me with info for anyone selling TD armor? I have a stunt helmet and need the armor.
  16. well....to be completely screen accurate do both and switch them off when you troop.
  17. Has anybody documented how many times to turn each knob on the hyperdyne circuit board to acheive the distorted screen accurate sound? I have one and have tweaked with it, but my voice is still too clear and the static burst is too loud.
  18. Daverian Skahl (David Hamm)...Cloud City Garrison TK9066/IG9066/TX9066...soon to be TD9066. Thanks for all of your help so far guys!!!!
  19. I have had the opportunity to carry everything from an E-11, Minigun, MG34 and Lewis Gun, while I have never had a bad experience with law enforcement, I agree that the potential for a situation is there. George Lucas (being a historian) enjoyed taking existing weapons and altering them subtley. It added to the believe-ability of the movies. As long as I can, I will enjoy bringing that fantasy world into this reality for kids of all ages! But do what you feel comfortable doing....and by all means NEVER troop alone!!
  20. When Anakin (Jake Lloyd) was inducted into the 501st, the Norweigan Garrison has a TD to the left of the photo that has done a great job of battle damaging his armor. I don't have it or I would post it. Maybe someone else can post it?
  21. I too am looking for the conversion pieces. AB, knee, .... if anyone is pulling any from molds I would be interested in seeing some pictures and getting some pricing. Thanks!
  22. WOW your pictures are amazing!! Que cosa tan buena!!
