  1. THanks for posting the pics Chazz!! LOL we just can't get it right 100% of the time bro! Just like the other day, I forgot my voiceamp and then the time for that I forgot by backpack! Yeah, Jay has a great Vader, but he says he wants to start working on another one sooon. His voice was excellent with the car stereo speakers on his back. And it looks like you got swamped with autographs too!! Both Jay and another Vader said it made their neck sore!
  2. OH! I found a great one from Lesley, so I added it to the first post . . . PS-I'm glad to hear you had a swell time trooping with all your fellow TDs on Saturday.
  3. Awh, man! THe kids woulda loved to see your TD!!! (next time . . .) We actually had six PBK events in So Cal alone! But I lucked out as they started allowing TDs to attend since so many of our TKs were at Legoland Day 1. If anyone elso did a PBK event, please post about it here!
  4. Costa Mesa, CA - MEPD Officer Wellington Eng and fellow 501st Legion and Rebel Legion members entertained more than 600 visitors at the Pottery Barn Kids' STAR WARS promotional event on September 13, 2008. LFL had requested that we support the launch of the Pottery Barn Kids SW line of products. In agreement with LFL, Pottery Barn Kids will be making a charity donation to St Judes Children's Hospital on behalf of the entire legion. There was a special visit before the event started by a family whose mother is not supposed to live past the holidays. Officer Eng provided a special Hasbro Battle Pack (below) to her two boys on behalf of the 501st. After the event we had the unique opportunity to lunch with 501st LCO Mark Fordham (below, third from the right) and his two sons who had travelled from Utah to man the Manhattan Beach, CA PBK SW event. (Special thanks to MEPD's GenericFoster, who at the last minute, supplied me with a voice amp for this event after I had fried my old one. )
  5. Hey Lewis, if you have a photo from Legoland, please post it here too . . . It's funny you were able to circle the park. I never made it past the front entrance area as I didnt do the droid hunt and had to take care of the jawas . . .
  6. Carlsbad, California - Around one hundred troopers from the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion converged on Legoland USA this weekend to celebrate STAR WARS and Legos. Several droids from the R2 Builders club also attended. Among troops were TD6768 Officer Ervoes and TD1755 Officer Eng of the MEPD. Their presence was useful in managing the local jawa population. 7. I'd love to see a new, more official, tshirt with the MEPD shield in full color. BTW, do we have a slogan/motto and epithet (eg Vader's Fist)? Or, if we need low budget, I suggest a simple one like these 2 examples: We could even add "Deployed" under "MEPD Police Officer" for those deployed. I think with the recent class of deployed grads that there'd be demand for this version. Now, Of Course, I'd really love to see a Re-Run of this Rolf Special:
  8. Anthony, thank you for my pack!

  9. CONGRATULATIONS, Officer LEWIS! ************************************** ****************** Cheers to an Officer & a Gentleman/Dude!
  10. CONGRATS, BRO! ********** ********** JOB WELL DONE!
  11. I think the sides will close up when the waist goes down . . .
  12. CONGRATS, BRO! ********** ********** JOB WELL DONE!

  16. YIPPIEKYEYAY!!! WADDAYA SAY 'BOUT THAT, CHEWIE?? MUCHO THANX Y'ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, ESPECIALLY LEWIS!
  17. Rolf, those pics are just fantastic! THanks for referring me to this thread. I knew from the moment I saw TD2416's black padding, I knew I had to find the maker! PM sent.
  18. Looking good Lewis! So sad I'll be at trooping at Pottery Barn Kids when you roll out the TD! Now be careful how you set up the straps, cuz after three hours at the TRU event Saturday, my shoulders are KILLING me! (I still need to give you those pads I was talking about.)
  19. Great Job! And I really like your pauldron! Where did you find it??
  20. wow, I must say command staff certainly has their plate full with all this (passport, deplayment, avatar titles, moderating etc) going on. My hat's off to y'all.
  21. [scratching forehead once again.] Hmmm, that's funny . . . when I refresh the thread page, I see that Seth's block reads "MEPD Police Officer", but Tony's still reads "Police Commander".
  22. Oooh, so that's why I couldn't figure it out OK, so then after the correction script has been run, all Deployed Troopers's titles should read "MEPD Police Officer" unless they hold a position such as "Detachment Leader", right?
  23. Greetings y'all! XO Paul started this thread more than 2yrs ago, and I can't locate a more current thread. I would just like to request that the rank/title system be comfirmed here. It's my understanding that avatar block rank/titles follow this progression: 1-24 posts: Police Recruit 25-49 posts: MEPD Police Officer 50-99posts: Police Lieutenant 100+ posts: Police Commander Is that correct?? I understand that the promotions only apply those MEPD Deployed. However, once one becomes deployed, the post count is retained, right? (In other words, one doesn't start all over again.) I am asking in particular because, although I have had all Deployment requirements satisfied, I am not officially deployed yet due to technical difficulties in the deployment office. Meanwhile, trying to be more involved with the department, I have been posting more, so I'm curious whether or not I'm getting any "credit" with these posts. Please advise. Thank you in advance. Hava a great holiday weekend.
