  1. I did my own take on this last year. Basically, I used Blåkläder kneepads that I cut into fitting pieces, and glued them in. Works like a charm!
  2. For those of you stepping down, I salute you and thank you for your service to the Empires finest! As for candidates, well, I have alot of spare time on my hands right now. But I have no idea on what positions are available, or what is expected of one in the different positions.
  3. Kept mine really easy as well. Used some knee pads from Blakläder, cut them up and glued them into place. A strip of foam to keep the helmet in proper position from the nose, and to ease the fogging (helps somewhat).
  4. I did a really simple conversion: I hook the pouch on the chest-piece itself, using a "electricians strip" (not sure what the English term for it is...). Basically, I cut some holes on the back of the pouch, slide the strip in, and secure it. But not to tight. Then, before I put on the chest piece, I just slide the pouch onto it at the right spot. Don't have any pics, but I'll try to get some taken at the next event.
  5. The 3+1 is usually placed on the shoulder, yes. But any way you like it!
  6. Something like on this page? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sandtrooper
  7. Holy s**t! THAT turned out really nice! Makes me wish I lived in Denmark, so I could take full advantage of those skills of yours... Now, bring your suit over here on a vacation, and I'll get together a troop!
  8. I have no idea, because I didn't use paint. I used some sort of hobby pigments created by Mig in Spain: http://www.hubhobbyshop.com/hint119.htm At least my helmet turned out ok, have to revisit the armor itself though...
  9. Yes, same strap system. Foam, yes indeed. I used some knee pads that I cut to the right shape, and glued to the interior: Fans, well I purchased a simple small computer fan, and put a switch on it and a 9 volt battery. The best place to put the fan inside the helmet, is in my opinion at the frown. That way the fan can suck some air into the helmet, and move the air inside.
  10. I salute all of those that serve, or have served. And especially my deepest gratitude towards those that have given the ultimate sacrifice, their lives. 2nd Lt. Norwegian Military Police (ret.)
  11. Well, I'm enjoying my vacation down here in Freudenstadt. Can't wait to meet all of you next weekend!! Btw, any of you guys that livein Stuttgart or closer to Freudenstadt?
  12. Made my small and modest donation as well, but I know it will come to good use. Keep yourself and your family safe, and all the best wishes and hopes from your "dirty" brethren!
  13. I read an Norwegian article on this, and he is in very good shape! Just got out from his last chemo, and he states he haven't felt better for a long time. Looks like we'll have him around for a bit longer
  14. I have a "chang-name request" too. Could I please have my screen-name changed to TD-7620?
  15. I'm sorry to say, but you will not be kicked out. You will, however, be taken behind the shed, and shot several times. J/K That clip was kinda cool! In a disturbing way...
  16. If you read "Tales From Mos Eisley Cantina", you'll find Davin's story there. Not all stormtroopers are clones. I have a feeling that the Emperor phased out the clones (du to speedy aging, perhaps?), and gradually inducted humans. They use designation numbers, but soldiers tend to bond, and use names. The 501st is mentioned in some of Timothy Zahn''s books, and they have nick-names! As for the policing/helping the militia out, that has AFAIK been covered in the roleplaying game. Maybe some other places as well.
  17. If you read the background stories, as well as the SW RPG, you'll notice that there already is a small detatchment of stormtroopers on Tatooine. Basically, they've nicked it, MEPD out of that. Also, check out the fanfilm Troops! It is great!
  18. Quick question: Is the unit affilation for MEPD deployed only?
  19. i saw this picture here on the forums, and just loved it.
  20. As I understand it, black-uniform denotes navy officers as well. Grey is supposedly army. Think I remember all of this from the old West End games SW RPG.
