  1. You may have seen the now cofirmed fibreglass MG34 / D19 prop from the-freak@ntlworld.com i got last month.I have made some modifications to the orig. The side of the MG was missing some detail,i fully understand why as reproducing such would have been tricky,so ive done some of my own.I have some real MG34 parts one being the feeder tray of the weapon so i took some ABS and heated it to form parts to fit to the PROP . From this which is good on its own,to this. I think it finishes the job.I can make one or two more and it would only be one or two as my fingers get rather hot in the prosess. if you have this prop from the freak just drop me a PM.it would be for this one only as i cant match the colour to any other .
  2. In the process of making my td and have had some time this weekend gone to work on the ab plate.Should i leave it as it is or sit the modded plate a little further back .I have also cut the bigger buttons three in all and cut the slot below the buttons.give me your wise words on any steps i should take ,or should i leave as is and weld it all together.I have painted the ABS with fusion on the other parts of the armour and this ab plate will be also,so all the plastics match. the other option is to get a new ab plate sandy ready?
  3. hope you dont mind but had some time on my hands to put you out in the bad lands, Much more in keeping with your armour
  4. A.....6. B.....7.5 C.....8. D.....23.5 hard to measure so as close as i can get. all are close but not exact.Maybe a mm or 2 out
  5. Just seen the weather report not looking to good have this one to see you for a bit
  6. Im gob smacked ,and i bet you are chuffed ! that is fantastic ,i think a trip to the sand dunes up the coast for some more pics this weekend if the weather holds out.I just hope i get mine chalked half good as that.I can almost see your grin under that lid.
  7. Every time i see a set of armour get the dirt treatment on this board,it makes things so clear on why G.L decided on using white as a base colour. The weather effect would be lost on any other colour and the high lights and low lights stand out so well, giving the armour a fantastic form.Man the standards just keep getting better and better. There is one question i have for you R,how long did you stand over your suit with paint in hand before you took a deep breath and took the plung?Cant wait to see the full rig pouches pack and all.
  8. well done,i can see your very pleased with your pack and you should be.You are moving on with your projects by leaps and bounds.Fantastic work, good to see
  9. Hi guys my eyes are not what they used to be,need a little help.Im converting an FX ab section to a sandtrooper and would like to know how many blank buttons to put on 3or4 .I am putting a shim over the holes and am ready to cut the discs for the blank buttons.Im also going to cut the large hole for the TD mod in the centre section .Theres some nice conversions to use on this forum so wish me luck.
  10. Took delivery of my MG34 on wednesday this week,The Prop was very well packed and came in three parts. BIPOD BARREL MAIN BODY all the screws and spacers were also included. From order it took 5 days to hit my door, and i had a day by day update of build progress. On the last update the MG was ready for paint and i had a choise of new look, light weathering or heavey weathered look. This kit is complete in every detail it has evey screw oil niple and rivet. The MG IS hollow fibreglass not solid resin (it would weigh a ton) even though the bipod is not hollow it has also been constructed with a fibreglass core It feels substantial because the layup is twice as thick as normal and the gelcoat is thicker than normal and glass impregnated too . It is a solid and well weighted PROP.At last we have a UK Builder for the MG34. Other projects for this year are..... Fibreglass sandtrooper backpack Lewis gun fibreglass sandtrooper helmet. I have been asked to please send your interest for any of the above items to the-freak@ntlworld.com Please state were you got the link from on your request. On a sub note you will have to ask about overseas shipping. The MG34 now has prid of place in my collection and for £140 is well worth the money we work so hard for. I have to pinch myself every time i pick it up.
  11. Question? were did you manage to find them litter trays from in the end.

  14. got my first voice amp this week.Been waiting on the Rom-FX from john here in the UK.When it arrived i spent two hours at home talking to myself lol.Went straight out and got new bateries for it.Well worth the wait and the price .
  15. fresh mud drys.If you are making a diorama you want the mud to look wet this kit does that and no nasty jerms lol. There are three kits available one is urban with soot, ruble dust etc .one has light sand dark sand euro earth dark and light earth and i think the other has all you need to make mud effects but you need to use the resin and i would not put that on your armour ,it will not come off.these are pigments and when they dry they leave a very realistic effect ,as if you had gone out to the garden or desert to get it .
  16. with that looking so good you should be put out front, very nice ,one of the best ive seen.
  17. If Fullers earth is a medium that add a dust effect to tone down and blend the overall weathering of the water based colours then as a model builder i have always used this. You can find three diferent packs or just buy it each colour at a time. You can dust your armour all over or use thinners to crate great washed looks this is not a permenent fix at all you would have to redo areas or try fixing it with hairspray.most of the multi packs have instructions or just play around on some scrap. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mig-Pigments-Sand ... dZViewItem i think you will get good results
  18. He discribed the construction to me as like a pool or snooker cue were you screw the two parts together or apart,a real neat idea .some food for thought on anyone building a similar project .good old British ingenuity .
  19. This mail was sent to me today from the guy in the UK that produces the E11 blaster parts im sure you have all ordered from.THEFILMFREAK. Hi Pete The blaster is finished now and as promised iv included a few links so you can have a look I am only planning to make around 10 of them initially and there is currently 9 left you’re the second person to be contacted and so far there is only two forums that know about them your moss eisley police dept which I think defstar only mentioned it in passing without giving details and not everyone is quite the detective you are and the knights of the empire (where defstar got it from) so its still on the quiet at the moment Im making them strictly to advanced orders and order they came in each one takes about 3 days to finish And now the good part price wise im going to do them as an opening special for £140 fully finished that’s around half the price of a hyper firm so im told. that’s including shipping to the uk too Iv worked out that will cover the cost of parts and making them till I decide if I actually want to make any more so I don’t anticipate them staying available for long Weight comes in at about 1.8kg so fine to troop with the only difference from the movie version is the small box on the magazine side. in tests it rubbed against the armour quite badly and meant you had to hold the blaster out from the body all the time which meant it became uncomfortable quite quickly and rough to troop with so off it came as I said before it unscrews into two halves and the bipod unscrews too so it can be packed for transport regards casey P.S if you want to post the pics on your moss eisley board feel free to use the links and finish what defstar started m8 I think you will all agree that this guy has tallent by the bucket load check out hes web site on ebay for a contact address http://stores.ebay.co.uk/FILMFREAKS-COLLECTABLES
  20.
