  2. Very nice indeed , very sharp. Congrats! Cheers A
  3. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it . I used Rustoleum for the white base color and humbrol #5 and #85 for the details. Cheers A
  4. This is the latest helmet I painted myself. I know this place is more related to sandtrooper, but just in case anybody is interested in taking a look to my last lid. It took me sometime to finished it but I had a blast painting this lid. This is not an idealized helmet, I tried to reproduce the imperfection of the original ones during the shooting of ESB. I wish the weathering would be more noticeable in the pictures. I used humbrol paints, Evo3 aerators and Mike's ESB decals. I hope you like it. Cheers A
  5. I second that, both of them look authentic, great work mate! I love the blue stripes . Cheers A
  6. Hey Ghost, I do really love what are you doing with these helmets . I am doing the same thing with another helmet but mine is ESB style. I'm Looking forward to se more progress. Cheers A

  9. It is a TE HDPE helmet, I got one of those and I love it. It can take some time to remove the paint but it will be fun to start over from scratch. It is a great bucket. Great find Cheers A
  10. Hey, that thing was looking very nice , too bad you have to start all over again. I went throght the same thing with my HDPE helmet, It took me nearly a weekend to remove all the white paint. I hope this link will help you with the tube stripes. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?s ... 0&start=40 Cheers A

Hey Rolf, You also can use testor colors(Ford&GM engine BLUE) for the blue tube stripes as I did. It worked well for me. Cheers A
  13. Amazing work Mike, absolutely amazing!! I do like this one better than your previous one. Your wethering shines above the rest of the sandtrooper helmets I've seen before. Cheers A
  14. Well Done. You got the ESB stormtroper look with bigger eyes
  15. Way to go RoCKo, it is starting to look great.
  16. Hi Guys, Thanks a lot for your kind words . It means alot to me coming from you. It took me a while to finish the helmet. Also I do not have that much space at home so I had to spray the bucket in my little balcony. The first time was a dissaster so I had to remove the paint and start over from scratch. Anyway, I truly like the final look. It was worthy the time I put on it,...I think. Hey , Thanks a lot for the nice comment. Allow me to desagree with you , I just would say they are just differents. You have done a great job painting your helmets. Your website is a open book to all of us. Thank for sharing all that info. Paul thanks a lot, thanks for your help and advise with the tube stripes. You are a great artist and great guy, you are always willing to help with constructive comments. They means a lot to me. Cheers mate. Gundamzeppelin, thanks to you too for answering my questions and kind words Thanks RoCko, I am looking forward to see you TE2 helmet done. Looking great. Hey , yes, you are right I took new pictures of the bucket few days ago. I want it to have some samples of it with a black background and artificial light. Thanks again. Vogel, gracias paisano, me alegra que te guste. Cheers A
  17. Hi Guys, This is my last adquisition. It is an HDPE helmet . I got it assembled and I painted it myself. It was a long process but I am quite happy with the results since it is the very first helmet I paint by myself. Many of you probably have seen it already in other forums, anyway I hope you like it. Cheers A
  18. I am not an expert but I agree with Gino 100% . The paint thickness is an important factor to consider when you you want to disguise the bumps. When I got my HDPE bumpy cap helmet unpainted the bumps where quite noticeble. Once I fully painted it with few coats of paint the bumps were harder to tell. Also the light conditions is another point to keep in mind since it could give you two different realities. I guess it happens the same way with the originals. Cheers A
