Waynocerous
So, following on from my relatively successful attempt at scratch building a T21, I thought I’d try my hand at a DLT-19 the same way. This won’t be a detailed WIP style thread, just a few progress pics as and when I have them. I decided to go down the aluminium tube route and have it long enough to go through the receiver so it would help balance the weight out. I like my blasters to have some weight to them so they don’t feel like toys. A friend lent me his resin DLT to use as reference so I’m pretty much copying this. As with my T21, apart from the barrel tube, everything else will be handmade using scraps I’ve found at home. Here’s where I’m at now... I hade to make the muzzle myself from plastic tube by heating and forming it. I just didn’t think a mouthwash cap would be accurate enough for me. I have cheated with the bipod though, I actually managed to source this from eBay (just the legs)....though I have had to make the mount myself and I have made it so it will fold down and stow away. Thanks for looking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hausi
And again you are doing an amazing job Wayne. Building a DLT from scratch is a real challenge.
Waynocerous
Thanks Urs! I’m pretty pleased with it so far but now the real challenge begins! Making the receiver out of wood so I have to try trim out enough of it for the barrel to go through it...the only bit I’m worried about! I’ve made a start rough cutting the pieces and the handlesSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bigwam
Respect for your work. But one question - why don't you build a Bapty DLT? It could hardly be more accurate. If you are already building the back part out of wood ...
Waynocerous
To be totally honest...I’m not a fan of the Baptys, not sure why, just not keen for some reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Waynocerous
No updates for a while but I assure u all I have been cracking on! Scratch made a working rear sight, fitted the hand grips, butt, various screws/panels and other details. The barrel and receiver are still two separate parts but I push fitted them together for the photos. The white filler (milliput) has been applied this afternoon so is still rough until it sets overnight and I can sand it down. It’s not 100% accurate but I’m trying to make everything from scratch..don’t judge me too harshly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Waynocerous
Bit more done today...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hausi
Amazing work Wayne, down to the tiniest little detail. After having this one finished, you can still build the Bapty variant... would probably be a piece of cake for you compared to this.

Hausi
Insane amount of detail, that's crazy Wayne... but in a good way! I assume it will be able to shoot real bullets when you're done with it.
