wozza8470
Hi everyone , Thought I'd better drop you a line, as I've just realised I've been working away on my back pack and I haven't started a WIP on it. (SORRY )Here are a few pics showing how far I've got Still got to fit mortar tube, lab pipe and stinger. But I'm not happy with the tool box but I think I have found one closer to the original size. Will keep you posted on my progress. Phoenix
Thanks for sharing the pics. Don't forget your shotgun shells and canteen. Here's a pic of mine that I finished last fall. I'm sure you have lots of reference photos, but just in case you need a quick peek at one that was approved for deployment after some minor changes, which are listed below and not depicted in my photos. 1. I made my stinger on the canteen too long and had to trim that. 2. I had to lower my radar dish. 3. I had to trim the size of my mortar tube keypad. They are a fun build; I wouldn't mind doing another just to sell. Looks good so far - good luck on the rest of your build and post some photo updates for sure! deckard1138
Question about the packs are the "shotgun shells" actual shotgun shells? If so, high or low brass and what gauge? Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
crashmann
Recent photo analysis concluded they were old style capacitors, with a single lead coming out one end. Cipher offers a complete set here: Charlie
Airborne Trooper
Definitely some type of compacitor. I own Cipher's except I opted out for the little leg things. I drilled holes and fastened it to the seed tray with those self taping screws.
Phoenix
Definitely not shotgun shells; it's a term they were given before they were determined to be capacitors (long before I came along).
